i would say that is because talon and akali use the the stealth to be untargetable and don't really care if you know where they are, while twitch and the like depend on you not knowing where they are to a large extent.

TheRainMan is the guy who used to play top lane (where people put teemo) for TSM. He's really good with teemo (and good generally) but he was like the only guy who played it competitively, especially after teemo got nerfed to where he is now, so when he left TSM nobody who wanted to play teemo was left in the competitive scene.

T_D, i think you are so far off base. there is some similarity between the heavy bruiser create damage threats peel comp and the supper heals and slow carry comp but the other comparisons are way off. in the poke comp the ad is a very secondary factor. the 2 main roles of the ad in that comp is so they can take towers in a reasonable amount of push ups and so that the other team cant just force bad engages and still win because they have no damage late game. double ap comp kills shit so fast they cant get to the ad carry? you call aoe bursting people down peeling? Peeling is preventing an enemy from getting to and damaging your team. CC does it. So does just killing them. So ya. Killing people, in my mind, is the most effective peel in the game.
I think his point is that you don't kill them with the intention to peel, but you kill them because you want to kill them. Just like a peel comp protects AD so that the AD can kill them. So here the AD isn't the one killing them. Etc.

I like TSMs team comp, just not against the lineup CLG's running. Unless they plan to kite the whole game, I don't really understand what their plan is.

Oh, lol. TRM (therainman), use to be TSM's top player, was the only person who played teemo competitively, but just recently no longer play for TSM.
The real reasons?
1) too squishy, very vulnerable to a lot of counter picks just due to pure squishiness
2) doesn't offer anything other than damage in teamfight, and even then his damage is very weak. He offers no peel to AD carry.
3) though he has good map coverage w/ shroom, but decent ward placement offers same utility.
