When you lose 2 Bo3s you are knocked out. TSM has lost 0 Bo3s. CLG has lost 1 Bo3. It would actually be unfair for TSM if it was only like a 1 game advantage. That's the ways tournaments have been ruining double elimination - It's FAR too forgiving for the team that has, indeed, already lost a best of 3. I don't get what need there would be to PM them about their fair format... Two best of 3s to be eliminated, that's where the name comes from. If you don't do it like that it's not called double elimination. Again a lot of confusion comes from this because most tournaments don't seem to understand how Bo3 functions. Worst of all and the most unfair is MLG. I'm actually surprised that they're using a fair format this tournament, for once. Please don't ruin it. (Holy shit I talk in circles -_- ) great explanation, i have nothing to add.

TBH it felt like Dig was a 1 trick pony w/ that lulusorakakog comp. The whole point of having a super weapon (like CLG's nidalee or shen ) is that if it's banned out, that it opens out the other team comps because then you have open bans. Because HSGG absorbs 2 bans every single fucking game (and if not it's GG) thus opening up spots for jiji and SV, and allowing CLG to do other comps. Dig gets soraka lulu ban, which aren't even that fucking great in a whole bunch of other comps, but then still fail their open comps.

Compared to the SC2 threads, there's only slight poking here, which are meant in jest(I hope). The SC2 threads though, scary place. A lot of true rage there. well that's mostly because of the size of the SC2 LR threads. If you have a thread that big it becomes a shitfest with any game.

CLG can lose 2 games over sets and still win in standard double elim but they would lose in MLG extended bo7 or your 1 game advantage bo5. But this is more an issue with the game length since LoL games lasts ~3x longer on average than SC2 games. The extended series discussion... Just imagine this scenario. There is no extended series. Team A faces Team B and wins 2:0. They meet later in the finals and loose 1:2. Total score: 3:2 for Team A. Team B won the tournament. Does that sound better?

Still though, this subsection of TL has a fairly decent mindset in these threads. The people who do not, learn pretty fast what is acceptable and what is not.
