In all future cases, use this thread for Live Reporting when there is not a dedicated tournament thread created in time. Live report here, not General Discussion.
I have a hard time locating proper places for good streams and VOD's from either scrims or tournaments. The information is so scattered, or non existent, and I was hoping that people would help to create overview in this thread. I look through the general thread and find something every now and then, but due to the activity these links get lost quickly, if there are any at all.
There are tons of tournaments planned, and I hope that this thread serves as a function to: a) find a stream for currently running 5v5 games (tournament, scrim..) b) present places to find the VOD's of already played 5v5 games (tournament, scrim..)
If I missed a thread or a place where this is already displayed, feel free to alarm me. But I presume that I am not the only one with this problem.
Good streams are abundant. Just check own3d's live section and you have a number of pro streams to choose from.
As for VODs, typically the OP of any tournament livereport thread will have them linked once they come up. I know JBright is amazing at finding these and updating his OPs once VODs are released.
Other times, like with the OGN Invite, people like emucxg will rip and upload them, also in his respective thread.
EG wins. They get complimented on their AOE comp by Rflex. Every time Dan used Seju's ult Ziggs destroyed them with his own ult. Seju seems like a good replacement for Dan's Amumu in AOE comps.
Not sure why TSM bans Sona, CLG doesn't like Sona anyways. I think TSM trying Karthus bottom and Corki top. Result TSM surrenders. Score was something like 3-18
TSM: Shen (eve placeholder), Sona, MF, Kennen, Lee Sin CLG: WW, Corki, Irelia, Soraka, Annivia
Lee Sin should be jungle although TSM was planning to Shen jungle. Wow TSM counter jungles CLG red, WW counter jungles TSM's red after doing blue but gets caught, MF with FB and double buff. Annivia wall forces a really good 4v4 engagement for CLG in their red area, they pick off MF really fast. CLG kills them then takes Baron. The game was really even before that.
TSM had a big lead early on getting dragon and denying Annivia blue, but Annivia got a blue back after killing Lee Sin when TSM was trying to deny Annivia her blue making the game pretty even.
TSM surrenders after trying to contest second Baron.
I guess Heimer means clg is getting a little cocky and Froggen wants to have some fun.
Shen ban makes no sense btw, clg doesnt play him. But tsm believes hes totally op and you have to either pick or ban him. Didnt help them though before.
Not sure why you're criticizing the Shen pick, bans maybe. Shen did well vs Irelia and the game was pretty close just TRM did not expect Chaox to get caught in that game. TSM should have won 2nd game by denying Annivia every blue, but they messed up when TOO died at CLG"s blue transferring their blue to Annivia.
Wait wtf, TSM bans Janna, CLG picks Eve as placeholder for Janna?!? Either TSM took back Janna ban or CLG trolling, TSM not calling them out on it or mentioning so not sure what is going on.

If you are referring to me, I didnt critisize the pick, just the ban. You dont need to ban something you perceive as op if the opponent never plays it.

It was really funny, the moment Wickd had dc and TSM killed him CLG seemed to become really angry. Suddenly they went on the offensive and rolled over TSm 4v5. :D I was really confused by what happened there.
On February 25 2012 08:24 BlackMagister wrote: Eh it's not like because CLG went of the offensive that they won. CLG was already pretty far ahead by the time Wicked dced.
Somewhat, but not so insurmountable that you win 4v5. I thought it was pretty spectacular. Looked like tsm didnt care much though.
If CLG went on the defensive they would have given TSM a change to catchup because TSM would have been able to farm better. At the point they were CLG was stronger so they went on the offensive. Nothing cute just what needed to be done.
Oh wow TSM in a really late game. 60mins, but they're in a losing position. Other team has free roam, both teams have taken an inhib. TSM needs to get lucky to win. TSM losses Nexus now.
Lol one of CLG EU chats talking about how mom texted him dinner was ready. TSM chats back, Chaox gets killed because typing during invasion lol. "THE MOM BAIT WORKED"

No a scrim is a practice game, you can try something new but you don't need to. Trying out new things is a common justification for why X team isn't trying that hard during the game, but some teams do try their best to win scrims and some teams experiment.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. No wit's end, despite being against double AP. I don't think he did anywhere what he could've in teamfights.
M5 trashtalk is also getting annoying. Ok, he was trashing his own team with the 1v9 comment... but c'mon, a couple days ago you flamed people for acting in an unprofessional manner.

They said gg wp. Would have honestly not expected that from m5. Dont understand why people are whining even now. 1v9 comment was probably more a joke than anything.
TSM wins. Slightly unconventional pick by CLG EU just by using Jungle Cho. Didn't watch TRM, Wicked or Snoopeh's stream so didn't see how the ganks did not work. None of the ganks on TRM really worked, but TOO didn't get any good ganks either. Just objective control that dictated teh game.

Yeah was mainly about lost team fights. Cho didnt do anything there. And Leona missed all ultis.
CLG.EU running into kinda obvious baits often, underwhelming game imo. It's better to go watch Shake and support your friendly neighbourhood TL streamers
uuuhgg. Why oracles shyvana? Why? If he bought a ruby crystal instead of oracles+ward he would be about 200 times harder to kill. Instead he can do... what exactly?

Do what he does best
Support Jungle Shyvana

I dunno...he still plays a mean support jungle Lee sin
Watching TSM scrim JYAJ atm, TSM just did a 15 min Baron with LS and Shy.
Makes me wonder why this isn't a cheesy strat we see more often? Bruiser Top (more auto based than AD caster, like Riven) + AD (not tanky) Jungler. Both get Wriggle's. Opt for a time to trade Dragon for Baron.

I think it's just a risky play. If the other team finds you before you kill it, best case you give up 2 free kills and worst case you give up baron for free.
i think the problem is that you have to have total ward control in that area or its a gimmick and total ward and map control only comes with early domination or oracle both of which are either unlikely / inherently risky in top level play
That kind of Baron rush is similar to trying to solo Dragon early on. It's entirely doable, but you're going to take a lot of damage so if the enemy stumbles into you it's usually free kills/objective for them.

Crs pulling some M5 moves in the 2nd game, very stronk early game with some alistar roam, blue buff GP holding bot lane, TPs top for a double kill on top lane WW and jungle Naut.
Ah recent scrim between CLG EU vs TSM. Except they traded top laners so Wicked on TSM as Renek vs Dyrus on CLG as Olaf. From Xpecial's POV, want to find a Vod from Dyrus or Wicked. http://www.own3d.tv/SoloMid#/watch/548627
I think out of the amateur ADCs that I've watched so far in S3, Castro (CBA to do his capitalizations >_>) is pretty impressive. That said, too bad Dig jr. is getting smashed by a smaller no-namer team.

Standard.
I played a couple games with Support Nasus and it feels gimmicky. You have to really comp around it though. If you get a lane vs like Lulu, it's going to be a bitch because it's just a kite fest in lane. In team fights, he's half decent. Just soak up as much as you can and Wither the ADC.

I disagree with their decision to not at least get 1 point in Siphoning though... nothing wrong with passively building up some charges here and there(he has already stolen some cs with Spirit Fire as is). Could probably get like +80-100 on it without really taking anything other than some small jungle creeps and the occasional lane creep, which is a pretty solid addition of damage.

Do you use Chrome? There's a plug-in that shows you all the streamers based on their viewers, big name Korean players usually get decent numbers.

Anybody have a compilation of some of the Korean/Chinese streams? I've found a few here and there but would like to find most of the IG/WE/top Korean streams if possible.

You would have to install softwares designed for Korean people such as AfreecaTV and Daum Potplayer if you truly wish to gain access to viewing the streams of top Korean players. I don't think there are any notable Korean players who stream on readily accessable sites for non-Koreans with a few notable exceptions like Reapered.
Here's a clip of Imp, widely regarded as having perhaps the best lane mechanics out of any AD carries in Korea. It's more of a tutorial video than anything else, with him answering questions and explaining his role as he plays some non-serious games. There are several notable players such as the AD carry from LGD in the enemy team, the support from MVP Blue, and the top laner from MVP Ozone, but if I don't think it is a ranked game.
If you liked the above video, here's the link to all of these "tutorial videos" done by Inven. You would be missing out a whole bunch if you don't speak Korean, since these are mostly educational rather than these players strutting their stuff on solo-que. If you are more into a compilation of high level plays from famous Asian players playing on solo-que, I'm afraid there's not much you could do other than wait for someone to be kind enough to load it onto sites like Youtube, or by viewing them live as they happen.
Ah I meant compilation as list, not montage. Sorry for that confusion. I guess I will do some more research into AfeecaTV and daum PotPlayer and try and find some more streams. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

You could just try the following site. It's not a comprehensive list, but it has several Korean streams. For example, Cornsalad, an ex-professional player, is on the list as of now with around 2500 views. Click on LIVE, then you'll see a bunch of streams you can view currently, and sometimes there might be a famous Korean player.
Someone showed me this site for watching KR pros in client. I haven't used it in a while but I think you download a bat file and it opens up the spec client and you watch it in game.
Interesting to note, Heimerdingers Colossi have now consecutively won 3 EUW Challenger series cups, the Dreamhack Summer online qualifiers and the SCAN & NVIDIA EUW Invitational. They have now won 30 competetive games in a row, without a single loss. (if I counted correctly)

I am really curious who will pick them up.
Are they playing any notable teams though? They are a group made up of ex-DB and SiJ, so you have to assume some of these players are LCS quality. Question is, is the current Donger Colossi a step up from either DB and SiJ?
Their Support is entirely fresh, which is rather cool.
They're only playing against the other top challenger teams in these tourneys since the LCS teams don't participate in anything else. Their run is impressive though, it's definitely a step up from both DB & SIJ but sucks for them that the official S3 circuit is already over for all the non-LCS teams. Their next shot would be in what, 7-8 months? The entire scene changes so much in that amount of time.
And with events like Dreamhack, MLG, IEM now segregating challengers from LCS teams, I have no idea when we could actually see them in an tournament match against a top team. Could even be none at all until next year if they survive that long.
Grand finals of Brasil Gaming League, PaiN-Razer vs CNB-HyperX.
PaiN with a default game up coming from the winners bracket, game 2 CNB busting out a powerful comp of Cait, Thresh, Ryze, Nunu(Jungle), and Olaf(Top). Using the jungle Nunu as a secondary support, CNB was able to take a very early turret in bottom lane at 4 minutes, and then roamed the Nunu wherever the bot lane swapped, taking a huge lead in turrets very early in the game. PaiN's composition of Kha, Rengar, Leona, Twitch, and Nocturne is having a hard team dealing with the seige and poke coming from CNB and game 2(technically game 1) is dead even 30 minutes in!
It's crazy how many viewers Brazilian tournaments get, every week there's at least one with 10k+ viewers and this one hit 50k. Even their Go4LoLs get thousands of viewers when not overlapping with something else like today's BGL. Meanwhile the EPS NA Playoffs last night which had 2 LCS teams in it barely got a couple of thousand.

I don't know what Riot is doing, but I think they're shooting themselves in the foot when it comes to building publicity via international tournaments in 2013. There hasn't been a proper match up - ie not the AllStars games - between the different regions in, what, 5-6 months? It's great for the Dota 2 fan side of me, but for the growth of eSports LoL's offerings this year have been poor.
