I can win my toplane (or be even), build tanky (usually with at least 1 offensive item, as I mostly play Shyvana and am planning to pick Renekton again, maybe Shen too), but in teamfight I'm kinda lost. Yesterday I had Sunfire and Randuin because their team had Olaf botrk, Sivir and Kha'Zix so I felt like armor + atkspeed reduction was preberable compared to Spirit Visage (as Shyvana), but Ahri was dealing a shitlot of dmg, using her burst on me. I feel like even with tanky items I'm not tanking anything (I felt that Unseen with Olaf botrk and spirit visage was more tanky than me with tabi ninja, botrk, sunfire and randuin) | ||

1) Shouldn't we start inhouses earlier? I think there are some people who have to finish playing by 23/midnight. If we started at 19:30, people who have to leave earlier could play some 5s (or maybe even 10s with so many people joining recently), then by 21-22 we should have all the late people etc and play 10s with them, and once first group goes to sleep, the second one can continue with 5s if they want to. 2) I mentioned that on TS last night: while Inhouses are great, 5s are pretty cool too and easier to find people for, so how about we play them on other weekdays as well? | ||

Since i can never attend on wednesdays. I'd be willing to play some 5s once in a while, if people are interested (though i hardly play and i prolly suck). | ||

The problem is it's pretty hard to get 10 people online and ready at the same time to get the 10's going. Once we get a game going it's generally pretty easy, because we either just keep playing with the same group, or only need to replace 1 person and can grab someone from liquidparty or something. The issue is getting those first 10 people to all be ready, online and not in game at the same time. That's why it's so helpful to have a very exact starting time, if we say "get on between 6 and 9, and we'll start when we have 10 people" then people miss each other, some come early, some leave before others arrive, and a lot of people log on, see there are only 2-3 in chat, and decide to take a soloq game instead/before. It just makes hitting 10 people a pain. When you have a specific time, which is at a point where basically everyone can attend, then it becomes a lot easier because everyone knows that they should be online and ready to play at 8:30, and because pretty much everyone can get online that late, getting 10 becomes a lot easier. We've tried having the first 5 people just "play a game of 5's while they wait" and it sort of ends with the next 2-3 people coming on, not wanting to wait and either going offline again, or playing solo q. Sometimes we get 5-6 new people within 10 minutes of the 5's game starting, and then they have to wait around for 30-40 minutes for no reason, while we could have started. Also sometimes the first 5 people will be playing ranked 5's, and then another 7-8 people will show up in the mean time, and by the time the first 5 finish there are only 2 spots in the lobby, and it's a bit awkward having to either kick someone from the lobby, or not let half the people who showed up first play in the actual inhouse. Playing 5's afterwards is pretty normal, and a nice way to finish off, but in my experience doing it before with the first few people makes getting the first games going a LOT harder, and it's always the period at the start trying to find 10 that decides if we'll have an evening of 4-5 great games, or just end doing 5's because of finding enough people. Starting earlier is something worth trying out though, again, it's a bit easier to get things going at 8:30 because there are just more people online then, but we've had games starting by 7:30 or 8 before. They can be a bit harder to get going though, so it would probably need to be properly scheduled a few days in advance/message around to get people to come. Doing it this late means that there will almost always be enough tl people online to get 10, even if half weren't originally planning on coming, so earlier will just need more organizing. If you want to play a lot of 5's/arranged games, then your best bet is probably to just message 5-6 other players who you're interested in playing with, making sure you're on the same page with what you want to get out of it, (Some people take 5's super seriously, some want to experiment with team comps, some want to mess around with fun ideas etc, and if you have conflicting goals then you'll probably get less out of it.) And just arrange to play every day/every few days/whenever. 5's teams also tend to be the same 5-6 people playing together most times, and the thread shouldn't really turn into the private discussion forum of 4-5 people for 6 days of the week. :p It's hard enough to get 10 people together once a week through the thread, and that's without the clutter of trying to get exactly 5 people to show up to separate things every other weekday. I think keeping the thread just for arranging the big, 10 man practice games, is easiest. Anyone wanting to play more 5's with people can just pm people in game, and arrange it there. Although if you disagree with anything/have a better idea, feel free to share ^^ | ||
