On the other hand, now that I don't have reliable internet I've been able to look at some other games, some of which I've really enjoyed.

We learnt that : - fed vayne is stronk - you don't simply let Prog pick Thresh - Scip is a douche - lvl 1 facechecks aren't good - you probably shouldn't jump in 1v2 as Tristna lvl 4, even if both enemy laners are 1/3 HP. Oh and I apologize to Dandel for my terrible ADC game, I was growing tired and my decision making along with my whole play was absolutely terrible, sorry baby Kisses and shit boys

That aside, I really liked the games, the teams were pretty balanced and the games were fun ^^ As always I like as much analysis as possible so I'd like more of it after games, but I guess it would really help if we had more observers for that purpose. Lets keep m comming =)

I wasnt even beyond the braziers (ie pretty much under my turret) but the bandage+redbuff+barrel ignite got me anyway. At that level I usually don't have everything warded off yet, and I never know how to avoid that type of ganks =( It's hard to comment without having seen it, but in general if you're playing no escape mids (all you seem to play :p ) and your flash is down, I find it's just a matter of always imagining their jungler is sitting in the lane bush, unless he's shown himself elsewhere. Just always imagine you're dodging an imaginary skillshot from the bush all the time/don't be in range of the bush at all, and if the other mid ever moves to cut off your escape route through one of the side bushes, alarm bells should start going off. On the other hand if scip is jungling you should probably not leave tower.

I think basically my question is; do I play so safely that I just do not harass my lane opponent at all when I'm not 100% sure where the jungler is and stay dead in the middle of the lane so as to avoid any possibilities of ganking pre-6 (I generally go back just before lvl 6 to get doublewards+some items, at which point it all becomes a lot easyer), or are some ganks just "a risk of the trade" and just hope you can flash it? This is a trade-off I've always struggled with, as, especially when you feel you can take your opponent in lane it feels like a waste to just play ubersafe, but it feels even more like a waste when you die to a gank =)

-Push super hard while the jungler is clearing buffs, too many creeps for mid laner to easily support, run to the opposite side the jungler shows up -Go super aggressive and then back off when you think you attracted jungler attention -BUY WARD(S) FAGGET If you are thinking as simply as you are you either play safe and feel like shit or play aggressive and feel like shit and flame your jungler for not being there when their jungler always magically seems to know when to come.

(I'm still a scrub and focus too much on laning and my own roaming so I forget it all past 6 minutes though.)

Still, the toss+redbuff + combined dmg from gragas and amumu took me out bleeding as I flashed when the toss-stun ended. It feels like the only thing I could've done was to flash the toss, which is... hard ^^ I think basically my question is; do I play so safely that I just do not harass my lane opponent at all when I'm not 100% sure where the jungler is and stay dead in the middle of the lane so as to avoid any possibilities of ganking pre-6 (I generally go back just before lvl 6 to get doublewards+some items, at which point it all becomes a lot easyer), or are some ganks just "a risk of the trade" and just hope you can flash it? This is a trade-off I've always struggled with, as, especially when you feel you can take your opponent in lane it feels like a waste to just play ubersafe, but it feels even more like a waste when you die to a gank =) The thing is it's not like they can gank at any moment. Given that we're just talking about the first few minutes of the game, levels 1-5 or so, and during this time (depending on the jungler/their mid) there are only a few moments where they can actually gank. I guess the only mid i play a lot which is really as vulnerable as victor early on is probably nidalee, but the way I lane with her is first try and pay attention to where their jungle starts. If they start bot side, i hang towards the top brush and if they start top side, i hang towards the bottom bush til level 2-3, If they start bot and haven't been seen for the top lvl 2 gank yet, i'll start hanging towards the lower bush, and if i see them top i start going aggressively til they dissappear again. Then I'll hang towards the bottom bush for a minute or so unless they show themselves somewhere again. You can't really play the same way every game, I just pay attention to where their jungler could be (fx he's unlikely to be about to gank you from his blue buff side if he showed around there ~60s ago, and wolves haven't just spawned, because there was nothing for him to do during that time so he probably went to farm his red jungle), where my jungler is (which can be useful to gauge how far their jungler has gotten) and how aggresively/passively their mid laner is playing. edit: oh, also watch how your other lanes are doing, if your top just got fb, or is aggressively overextending and zoning their top really hard without a ward, then you can normally push. The chances of them ganking you over top are low, and if he does then it can even be worth having your flash burnt if it allows one of the other lanes to get a very large lead/maybe allow your jungler to safely pull off a tower dive/gank without the risk of a countergank.
