That game was basically a pickup scrim. You don't see tryhard games like that every day in solo queue.

Since NA solo queue don't really take the ladder as seriously all the top pros are all over the place in MMR they don't get matched together nearly as often. That and their streaming hours make it so they don't play at the same time.

The word Tryhard is typically just an excuse for people who are doing badly, and now it's being thrown around everywhere as thought it were some sort of crime. Kind of like the word gay.

Tryhard is the dumbest word in LoL. It'd be funny to try and insult other communities with it.

Call a SC2 player a tryhard and they will go "What, of course I am trying hard, why would I not?" etc

Never got why it's a bad thing to give it your all.

It's a bit weird that is it in LoL since I feel it kind of comes from dota where the mode most people play isn't the same as competitive play so "tryhard" is basically saying a person is acting like it's competitive when it's not. Also silly there but a little less than in LoL since well solo q is all about rankings and shit.

Riot really needs to make ranked 5s have some dependence on solo queue ranked. A bunch of golds against diamonds isn't very fair (although they did surrender while up 51-10 LOL)

It does.

Your initial ranking is based off of the combined soloqueue rating of all the teams players, then it modified by your placements and accelerated elo period.

I'm willing ot bet those diamonds have just been surrendering all their games, their win-loss is probably like 0-40

And arams is a grey area where you get people who have smurfs for araming.

Finally, if you're playing with friends and they're just like "yoloswag red build ad tank annie!"
And you're timing buffs and calling objectives you're kinda a tryhard too.

I'm actually pretty "tryhard" in arams >.> I mean I get the game can randomly put you at huge advantages disadvantages, but it really fucking bothers me how many people feel like getting there in time for the first creepwave is optional....
