I think it was a nice attempt at a midgame gimick, Katarina/Kennen can do some nice combined ults, similar to Amumu/Katarina. However, it failed and now it should be gg, the damage is no longer high enough to inta-ace a team imho. Edit: I spoke too soon. | ||

Actually that team comp should be rock solid for lategame except against overall very tanky teams or strong turtling teams. They had enouh CC and burst to get Katarina rolling in teamfights. | ||

Yeah but they all died multiple times before they had the chance to stack negatrons.  I think that was the point of the team composition. Rape shit early-midgame. I don't think there's any other reason to run AD Kennen and Katarina. I guess they got away with that shit because they're just so much better as a team that they could win mvp white with whatever comp.ooooh games are over qq | ||

Katarina had ~70 flat MPen, which likely was more than the MR pre-Negatron against a couple of enemies (don't know all the items everyone had in detail). So a Negatron wouldn't even give you the full 48 MR increase. And if you buy too much defense then of course you're also dropping your DPS which gives Jax more room to wreak Havoc together with the CC of Kennen and Sona. Imo the lack of a ranged AD only really becomes an issue against the mentioned very tanky teams, against heavy turtling teams, and when the game goes really late and you didn't manage to take down an inhibitor turret before the enemy AD gets to something like IE PD LW GA. | ||
