Nunu/Cait was a good pick but it's not like CLG won bot lane in champion select, both of these teems need their AD to carry and Aprho got outplayed, it's not like it was vs some garbage player or anything, it happens. I dunno how you can even say that, If you were watching Aphro's stream, you could see how fucking afraid of TF ultis and Shen ultis they were. Every 10 seconds they kept calling out whether or not Shen or TF ulti's were up, and that was just for Aphro to farm in lane... It'd be ignorant to ignore the effects of Shen + TF map presence. Though, I agree in vacuum DL's Cait + Nhat's nunu is better than Aphro's Ez and Muffin's Sona, but you can't use this game as proof of such, especially considering the circumstances. And, as anyone here will tell you, I'm like the biggest DL fanboi, but this game's win was not attributed to DL. Bot carried hard because of the great team ganks with their globals and coordination helped shut down aphro (which is a good goal vs ferus). If they didn't do that, I think bot would have come out roughly even with Ez having a little better late game than cait imo. I think jiji was pretty underwhelming, he had the one good gank on aphro and solo kill but I still felt his play was pretty sloppy, especially during laning phase. But I'm glad to see CLG pull out the win in the end. CLG's bot lane was already ahead by at least 15 cs before anyone else even came into the lane. CLG just outplayed them everywhere Just having the POSSIBILITY of jumping into a lane with all those global ultis, changes play style. It's like the blitzcrank grab mechanic works. the possibility of a grab is just as strong as the actual usage of it, same applies to global ultis. I agree with that, but even before level 6 they were down in cs. Why is that? Because Muffinqt is an average support and Aphromoo is overrated as shit. Almost every NA player is overrated as shit, when they've only pretty much played against only NA teams. Also, stop condescending Muffin. I disagree to an extent. Yeah there are lots of overrated NA players. But there are a few players that don't get the recognition they deserve. Specifically imaqtpie is good as shit but because of his troll attitude and his mediocre lane phase he's often looked over or even regarded as bad when in fact ever since the team's inception he's probably been their most consistent player. When scarra or Voyboy would feed or have bad games qtpie would carry them out, when Voyboy was owning people's faces qtpie backed him up and played incredibly solid. Just a shame that he's known as a troll and had to be beside a flashy player like Voyboy and a beloved player like scarra. After Voyboy left, and I still feel this way, Dignitas' best player is easily qtpie. I also really like mandatorycloud but he tends to get eclipsed by Aphromoo. qtpie pretty good in comparison to na scene, but lane phase is a big deal currently meta, and even in 2v1 lanes, I don't see qtpie play that lane out correctly. NA isn't short on single player talent, there are definitely NA players in their perspective roles are on par with the top tier players, in their respective lanes/roles, but none of them are grouped in a team to do so. I'd say Dyrus and WoDx both able to hold their own against the best top laners. Nyjacky and (good) regi can hold their own against toyz and froggen. St.V and TOO can do alright against lilballz. Chau+dlift one of the best bot lanes. Cop-Elementz can hold their own against a lot of the top tier bot lane combos. Too bad there's too much ego to prevent them on forming a team.

Aphro deserves the hype imo. He just needs to prove he's as good or better than other ADCs on a big stage. In recent memory, Chaox slapped him around at IPL

LOL Dyrus got shamed on a little bit during World Championship, but back in MLG, he was doing okay on top lane against repeared (showing that he has the ability to go toe-to-toe with what people considered the best top laner during this time). WoDx's ability to control lane tempo is better than almost anyone else in the scene, in combo with decent jungler, I would say WoDx's toplane ability is top tier, though i'd say he'd lose in a vacuum'd top lane.

Dyrus has underperformed at a majority of tournaments lately. Don't recall him carrying from top

I mean, if we're making comparisons on purely individual skill, you have to also make the admission that Shy isn't in the "top tier" among Korean top laners. Maknoon and Lilac are better yet than he is. If Dyrus got shamed by Shy, where does that put him in comparison to the actual top class of Korean tops? It's a skewed comparison to say individual NA players have the ability to match top tier players in other regions, and then only compare them to those players that are on successful teams. Just like on NA, there are many players in other regions that significantly outperform the rest of their teams.

I'm just sort of sad WoDx pretty much doesn't want to be a full time pro. Even though he definitely has the skills to do it. On October 24 2012 11:49 TheYango wrote: Also, I still think it's absolutely freaking hilarious that after Worlds, NA fans went from "Doublelift best AD" to "Bebe/Weixiao, then Doublelift #3". So Chinese teams show 2 ADs that outclass Doublelift. OBVIOUSLY they are the only ones and that makes Doublelift #3? OBVIOUSLY there are not other Chinese ADs that are capable of playing to that level? Lilac Chau+Lift still #1 botlane imo. Though teamfighting, he's probably equivalent to bebe, and weixiao

The match up is so very dependent on the jungler that I think any top from any team could hold their own against anyone. The only player I felt carried his team from top lane in the worlds was Stanley, everyone else that I saw did standard boring farm top lane only go aggressive when your jungler is there. Because that's pretty much the only way to play top lane. Maknoon most definitely carries from top. The dynamic of Najin Sword makes him the pinnacle of how they play and the driving force to their midgame tempo.
