Missing stuff is a common issue with inexperienced casters in any game. I honestly think a dedicated "camera man" is the single best/easiest way for tournaments to improve their casting. It's really not hard. One guy controls the camera, another guy watches that monitor and streams off of it, and a third guy also talks but has his own camera to watch with. The way they do it now would be like having John Madden working a camera for an NFL broadcast.
Requires a third computer, makes it a little harder as well to organize and such

My name is Gato I have Metal Joints This tournament is delayed, so give out riot points?
Alright, my Rhyming sucks. I'm not a rapper.

That Diamond Lee Sin, Q, Ward, W, Ult onto Trist. Nice try.

This camera control is horrendous. It seems like they're using the arrow keys and have it on the slowest speed possible.
Let's watch people BP for the entire duration; meanwhile....

Just switched over from EURO/DreamhackLoL, was 3rd place match already played?

Not yet because GESL used NA live servers until those crashed. They then delayed the schedule and got the tournament realm.
CLG vs TD and CLGb vs TSM are played simultaneously right now. Unfortunately, we can't watch either of those two yet because 3rd place match is not streamed yet and for the finals the spectator client just crashed. But feel free to enjoy ALL the ads.

Oh well, guess I'll just miss out then. Whatever, games probably not going to be more epic than CLG.eu/M5, anyway

Day 1 they don't have internet. This wasn't the tournament organizers fault, in fact they had been making sure their internet worked just the day before. Someone on campus unrelated to the event shut the internet off where the LoL portion of the tournament was suppose to be held. Hardly their fault. Also on Day 1 their computer used for streaming broke, which is admittedly at least partially their fault but hey that kind of shit happens. Day 2 went off without issues. Day 3 NA live servers are down, which sucks but they can't really do anything about that. Riot hooks them up with Tournament Realm and the Tournament Realm's spectator mode crashes.
Literally the only thing that they could've done better was to have a second streaming PC prepared or something. Everything else that's plagued this tournament has been out of their control.

Look, that's fine in a world where there aren't world-class events like MLG, IEM,a nd Dream Hack. But if you want to host a relevant, live tournament, there are some things you need to get straight. One of them is having your internet working. (Which, BTW, means you aren't relying on a 3rd party like a school to supply it, and if you are, you make damn sure they know it's going on and don't have some random person turn it off.) Another one is having a tournament realm ALREADY set up. IEM games are on a tournament realm. So are MLG's. I would imagine DH is the same way. It boggles the mind that GESL's weren't to begin with.
Look, this was a nice idea for a nice, low-budget tournament with some good teams. But it went to shit, and when things happen that the organizers hadn't anticipated, it's their fault for not anticipating them. Simple as that.

How is having their internet shut off not their fault? As the organizers of the tournament they should have at least talked to the campus to make sure they're aware of this event. Every thing except for the crashing of tournament realm's spectator mode was something they should've and could've make preparations ahead of time to make sure this doesn't happen.

After today's patch from Riot, the LoL servers went down. Currently, servers are still down and according to Riot, they are working on it. Riot has tried to support us with Tournament Realm access, however... Tournament Realm clients from Riot for LoL did not crash (matches are still going), but the spectator feature of the TR client is not working (bug in the spectator feature), which caused the caster client to crash. Therefore, the current matches being played are not properly streamed. Hope this clears things up. We'll keep you guys updated.

So... Based on what I've seen so far:
Day 1: Internet died, massive delay Day 2: Somewhat fine, teams complained about delay Day 3: No Tourney Realm, NA server goes down, massive delay. No stream.

Reginald will be streaming the games, lol.
|
|
360p lol, better than nothing though
|
Im pretty sure this isnt even 360p being uploaded to the stream.
Who are TSM playing against?
|
Think it's 240p or even lower. It's CLG black I think.
