As many of you have hopefully heard by now, some of us have been working on a competitive League of Legends wiki called Leaguepedia for the past month or so. Despite some setbacks early on that led to a delay on the initial release of the website, we are proud to announce that Leaguepedia is now up and operational! We already have a plethora of fully written pages on players, teams, and tournaments so that there is no delay, you can hop on and learn about your favorite pros, teams, and tournaments right away! If you find that there is information missing, feel free to make an account and start editing! Please note that any edits will go through an approval system, so you may not see your changes right away.
We hope you all enjoy Leaguepedia! If you have any questions, comments, or concerns you can post them here or you can contact one of our staff members on our IRC channel #Leaguepedia on quakenet.
A very special launch event is in the works for the coming weeks. More info will be presented in the next few days.
Original reddit post
Some sample pages of tournaments covered here in the TL LoL subforum. OGN The Champions Spring IPL4 - Main Event IEM Hanover Curse Lolpro.com Invitational MLG Providence
Note: I am not the one who created this project but I'm just the one who get to post this here. There are other TL members who helped get this off the ground so they should get credit as well - LasTLiE and Inflicted are two who contributed a lot more than me.

So glad to finally see this launch. Been a very exciting day and can't wait to continue working on this in the coming weeks. :D

I had the idea for something similar and started to work on one but I'm glad this came out. The wiki is seriously hard, grueling work to compile and I'm glad to see it worked out. Looking forward to contributing!

Hmm. So this is solely to learn about players, teams and tournaments.
Dissapointed it has no info on anything about the game itself. Strats, Counters, Items, even anything relating to champions.

The focus for this wiki at the moment is the competitive scene since there is already a wiki for in game info. The plan is to fill in what you want...eventually, but there is such a big backlog of tournaments, teams, and player info that it is best to leave that to an established site.

NICE i dreamed of this recently cause of OGN having a great tourny yes, i dream of awesome communities o_o

Oh. The picture is the link.
Very nice!

Sick, thank god this is much needed! :D
My one comment is that I don't really like that the team logos always appear beside the team name. I think it's really unnecessary and it makes them seem busy/cluttered, can't really see them adding anything.
The more I go through pages the more this bothers me t-t

sigh...make 'competitive' wiki, leave out all non-KR asian teams
edit: come to think of it, it makes sense now. most asian teams blow. but srsly do add taiwan china or it'll look like a joke

There are a few non-Korean Asian team pages but you are right that it is very much lacking. Most of us who started on this just don't know the Chinese scene that well; we only have info on the Korean teams because of the OGN tournaments. Hopefully there will be people adding content for those teams now that the wiki is open to the public.

We copied/adapted a lot of the coding from Liquipedia so this might be a legacy thing. Teams for SC2 mean something different than LoL since we're comparing 1v1 and 5v5. Nothing is final yet so they could change it to be less cluttered.

i apologize then, for not seeing it. the random teams thing really threw me off. i thought that was all, didnt notice tabs

Just a few points:
In some places teams are referred to as clans. Clan has never really been a common term in the LoL scene so it's out of place. I suggest you change it to a more in-use term.
In the team results tables you have the team name bolded in every case. I suggest you either bold the team who won in that case or bold neither team. It confuses people as bolding in results has nearly always meant this was the winning team.
To make things look a little clearer, I think you should put the text that describes what will be in a section in the hidden text code. (<!--- it's something like this. --->
Aside from that, looks good.

Should consider adding:
- Player Elo Peak:
- Known For Playing:

I'll admit our information on Asian teams is lacking in comparison to Europe and North America. If you can, feel free to get those pages started.

Thanks for the feedback Flicky~ Definitively going to look into changing the results table bolding. Currently that is because of the template for putting in the team logos with the name, so we'll work on changing that.

We've actually just added Peak Elo to player infoboxes, so we'll be slowly adding that information in. The "known for playing" has been brought up before and I think is definitely going to be added. Currently things like that are just listed under "Trivia", but we may add a new section for " Notable Champions Played" or something simliar.
Good to see so much interest from the community in this. :D

This is so awesome. What's the best thing I could do from my side to help out? I'm guessing anything to raise awareness and get you more editors? Hit me up on Skype! (Moonbear and NeoIllusions have my Skype info)

Best thing to add right now, would be missing tournament information and write-ups for team/player histories.
We're currently in the process of adding: * Champion pages * Detailed Match Information
So you can probably also start writing up competitive usage of champions, and add them when they're done.

for some reason it says the score for mig vs clg in the ogn invitational finals is 2-1 when we beat them 2-0 in the finals ill help with the korean pages when i get the time~

Please, please don't let this thing die in a few weeks. LoL has been in desperate need of some sort of competitive scene database in a very, very long time, and I have a feeling this is the kind of thing that will be quickly overlooked in its ridiculously scatterbrained community.
You guys are awesome <3

Hi guys! Thanks for all the positive feedback and constructive criticism, we are working very hard to get Leaguepedia closer to what Liquipedia is today. We hope that all of you continue to support us as we grow to become the definitive number one League of Legends wiki site!
