The seedings have been done quite good. Every group has 1 favorite for first place and one for 2nd place. I would see the rankings in the groups (place 1 to 4) as follows:
A: aaa, Sypher, WW, mtw
B: CLG, Fnatic, Logix, Alternate
C: Na'Vi, SK, Millenium, Homeless
D: M5, AL, mouz, TCM
Main favorites to win the whole thing are M5, CLG, aaa. In that order. NaVi should not be underestimated though. Great players, but they may not be ready yet.
Overall the organizers have been really good at picking the teams. Basically all the good European ones are here, and nicely distributed on the different groups. Only team I am missing is TSM. They have a good connection to Europe and could have played as well. Maybe they did not want to.
Anyway this should be a great tournament. Really looking forward to this.

Accounting internship. Only the woman I am interning for has absolutely no desire to give me actual stuff to do because it involves her having to put information together.
Today my job for the afternoon was to learn how pivot tables work in excel. If I was a gambling man (which I am) I would put money on that being my job for a good portion of tomorrow as well. And it doesnt take all that long to learn how to hit 2 buttons and make sure every column has a header.

Ya the XMG laptops provided are pretty bad apparently so snoopeh while scrimming Na'vi went down to 9 fps in team fights and couldn't smite baron properly. Hopefully this issue is fixed today.

I played against both TCM and AL, not often but a few times and in my opinion TCM was a bit better (could be bad/good games on both sides)

Hmm, I always figured nunu was a yordle because he was tiny. Although his lore doesnt actually say he is human, only that he appears human.

I like the players' banter at the beginning of the game.
Fnatic warded aTn's wraiths but aTn countered it with a pink right away

Shyvana gets caught trying to steal enemy golems, GP chase her and Mundo comes with his cleaver ready. Shyv forced to ult, Malz comes too, Wukong saves Shyvana but almost dies under his turret, saved by GP having to withdraw not to die. Ahri comes, almost gets Malzahar and kills GP tho. 2-1.
Edit: then Shyvana tries to steal enemy blue, gets caught by 3, ult right into the trees—apparently she even dived farther than she should (because she can't stop in the terrain)? Lamia kills her with a good ult (Ashe).

aTn wins a trade 2-1 at mid, Shyvana and Wukong arriving just in time to countergank Malzahar and GP on Ahri, killing the former. Ahri is going to barely live when GP gets her with her ult, before dying to Shyv/Wu.
During this time, aTn's bot lane forces Janna/Ashe to back and pick up a drake in the process, with Mundo too busy trying to help GP.

Ahri gets caught trying to burst Janna at mid, aTn has to 3v4 inside GP's and Malz's AoE, then get chased down. 3-0 exchange, almost 4-0. Ahri really failing her team it seems, always being the one that get caught.
Fnatic takes nashor, then heads to drake. Kog's too busy farming with no wards around, Fnatic ignores the drake and simply murders Kog.

I agree, but the pervading opinion of the TL forums for all games seems to be the 'Korean style' caster. While I'm sure they have game knowledge, only those who understand Korean would know that, the English speaking fans of theirs always cite their enthusiasm and excitement as to why they enjoy the casts. DotA/2's Tobi Wan has become the most famous caster for that game by emulating that style himself.

He's against AP Nid, with a TF mid soon ready to gank, and Udyr whose damage is mostly, if I recall, magic. 2 NMM will give him mercs + wit's end, nothing wrong with what he's doing.

Yes. Wit's is really good to proc his passive more, esp. in combination with his shield. Plus it brings on hit damage, so you don't have to really itemize AD to hurt.
I don't like much that Urgot build. Triple doran into manamune. Sure, he was winning his lane early on, but with TF 6 and Udyr ganking, now they lost their tower and he may have trouble charging it, esp. if aAa pushes objectives and forces teamfights.
Edit: Holy hell. Sure, several flashes were expended to catch up to people, but the amount of cc on aAa's team is just...
4-0 at mid after Urgot got caught and stunned, Nidalee bringing in the pain, and aAa takes a baron. Huge lead now, esp. after Udyr's splitpushing brought down top's inner tower.

Mouz's positioning in teamfights is absolutely terrible. They should have stomped this with their advantage, but m5 just plays so much better in a 5v5 situation. Feels like m5 is in a huge lead now even if the gold advantage is ~1k to Mouz still.

Yes, you can blame them for pushing hard 4v5. If it was on tournament realm, game would have been paused and they couldn't do that. You hold back and farm when this kind of thing happens. It actually happened to Mouz very recently and their opponent was manner about it and didn't push any advantage, just passive farm till they got their AD back.
It's simply shit manners and they deserve all the crap tossed at them.

Darien and alex ich weren't there. Gosu pepper played mid. Top fed quite hard. Genja almost still carried but fucked up in the end.

Brutalizer on shen is ideal to splitpush ? (Wits is a thousand times for splitpush and doesn't suck, whereas Sunfire Cape is the normal splitpush item for him)

Damage good to split push, because shen doesn't push that well if you build him tanky.

Anyway, yes there are much better builds and items for Shen to push at later stages in the game. But they were obviously going for a strong mid-game push and brutalizer offers a lot of damage at that stage in the game. So I'm not saying that brutalizer is overall an ideal item for Shen (the opposite as you pointed out), but it seemed to fit the overall strategy at that particular point.
So maybe not troll, but actually a reaction to the way the game was unfolding. I also don't like these arguments: Item A is bad on champion X because late-game build has to be items B,C,D.... You can make situational item choices and while that obviously can be a huge drawback. He would have become useless for a while during the early stages of late game (lack of tankiness), it can also pay off.

TOO plays only crappy support junglers though (or when he does play aggressive junglers he builds them as if they were supports), if you want an oppinion about an offensive jungler listen to SV (but nowadays SV is too busy playing underplayed junglers like volibear, just like he used to be playing shyv and telling that she is really strong jungler ~a month after she came).

As for Fiora, she can't dive like Irelia does, if she gets cc'd before she can ult she'll die, she's less safe in lane, and doesn't scale as hard as, say, Riven. No way she replaces Irelia, even with her ahrd hit sustain in the next patch.

Irelia is really strong against a fair dose of common top picks. If your team wants to run one of the tops she counters, you ban irelia.
However there are some champions that fair really well vs her, so if your team can play them and the other team goes oooh need to play irelia cus she's imba she can get stomped pretty hard.

really liked this mundo build. mundo can't be built like some support junger with aegis, he has to have this damage threshold where he can run around hurting ppl, without it he can be focused down so easilily. also i don't agree with moma where he pointed out that mundo doesn't have any damage items because he doesnt need any items to do so. any of his abilites scale off anything only thing you need with him is surviveability, only thing you might need is atmas to be a bigger threat.

Some of those Anivia's walls were really good tho; The positioning on the last teamfight made me think of a fail initially, what with Shyvana popping up behind them rather than in the middle, then the wall cut off Irelia and with Anivia + Kennen's ult well... AoE stacking yadda-yadda.

As it should. CSN and the other Lone Star Clash organizers put in a lot more effort promoting their event. I don't think many people knew of the HTW Cup until last week. It would look pretty bad on SC2 in general if a LoL event with ~1 week of notice could beat out a SC2 event with ~1 month preparation.

The game is pretty much done at this point though, in my opinion. WW have no ways to really stop Sona, Ez and Kennen ult from totally obliterating them at basically any fight under mouz' conditions.

The atmosphere isn't quite the same since you obviously can't get all the teams there like HSC but it's been quite fun. It's not easy to get the players to commentate after a long bo3 in LoL since they could have been playing for almost 3 hours. Or if they do, they're too tired to make the game sound interesting. This is totally different from SC2 where a typical bo3 will last maybe 90 min at the longest so the players aren't as tired afterwards.
