As finals draw near for many of us, myself included, desire to procrastinate can reach an all time high. So I decided to put these impulses to good use and put off studying by organizing a LoL tournament. It will be called...
The Rugfeeder Actually-Happening Not-Made-Up Not-Gonna-Get-Canceled-With-No-Warning Real Twisted Treeline Tournament, or Rug-T_T for short. It will happen at an actual set time which is being told to you, by me, right now: Saturday the Fourteenth of May (5/14/11), at 18:00 GMT (+00:00). (thanks crate) Signups can be PMed to me or posted in this thread.
Rules for this tourney: If no one from the team is there, 5 minute grace period. If at least one person is there and he knows for sure the rest are getting on soon, 10 minutes plus as long as the other team is willing to wait. Bans are 1-2-2-1 by HazMat suggestion (previously 2-3-3-2). Picks are 1-2-2-1 obviously. One smite per team max.
Meet in the channel Rug-T_T. If you and your team could be there 15 minutes before the event, that would be fantastic. As above, if no members of your team are there by 5 minutes after the match should have started, your team is disqualified. If one or two members are there and they're sure the rest will arrive soon, 10 minutes plus as long as the other team is willing to wait.
Well. That was exciting.

Should do 1-2-2-1 bans imo.

(I just ninja updated that)

If you're on CDT, which you probably are (I'm in Arizona so we don't do daylight savings) then it's actually UTC -5, not UTC -6.
Might want to fix that.
TL also has a nifty tag you can use for this:
Saturday, May 14 6:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00)

Yeah, I like a double elimination format a lot. Especially on TT where the games aren't super long anyways. The other thing I'm thinking of is a policy for drops. What should the verdict be if someone dcs?

If you just want the time portion, you need to use [time] and not [date]. Right now it looks really silly.

I'm the number 1 TT player unless Shake makes me surrender or I have to lane my mundo against anivia

Okay I'll play, I'll assemble a team of two other baddies (probably with no affiliation to TL as most of you probably want nothing to do with me) and we will bad our way to the bottom np
|
Is this TL-only tournament? I could ask my RL friends if they want to play or not (yeah, this means we'd lose like first game anyway :D)
|
This tournament is open to anyone (though at least one person's gonna have to have a TL account to notify me of their team).
|
I'm willing to donate up to $20 if other people do too.
