CLG wins everything unforuntately.

I'd really really love to see a team be able to hold their own versus CLG. Right now they have complete dominance of the competitive scene. Team solo mid and Goose look really solid though.

As for TL I think we need more playtime with eachother and more thought into our champion picks.

Overall, the picks just look eerily in favor of clg. Zilean eats up annie so well and I don't think TOO could do much about it. You can't gank Zilean with shaco cos he can just flash superspeed out of any situation. Chauster is extremely good so his Ashe didn't die to corki shaco apparently although I would imagine someone lesser would have lost mid. Cho gath Sion vs singed soraka is quite a joke tbh and they are both way too beefy for shaco to touch.

Cho gath babysits Ashe. Zilean babysits Olaf. Team has burst, sustained damage, initiation, tankiness and shitton of cc.

It isn't even about clg being better players if their team composition is this stacked.

there's only so much you can do during picks though. now, I'm not going to say that they didn't make a mistake by not making sure CLG didn't get Zilean + Olaf (still completely OP combo imoimoimo), but the draft is just so fucking hard to play right sometimes.

Like, vs. Goose, we knew we had to deny doublelift Blitz and we wanted to ban Rammus and Zilean as well. They banned Janna Sivir and Sion and then first picked Taric. wut do? They just got the only good support left in the draft and even if we had tried to compete with them for tanky picks (we probably should've sniped Malphite at least in retrospect) there are just too many to really deny them a good tanky team along the lines that they want + we don't really play the characters we need to be able to play well enough. denying swain would do nothing because you could just run Cho or Grag in the tanky AP Carry slot so the next best thing we could've done to shoot down their strat from a drafting perspective would've been to snipe Malphite and Urgot after they had gotten taric, but then they probably just start assembling a brutal babysit the carry team by picking something like Morg + Nunu and then grabbing Corki + Grag or Cho with last picks. So even with a really focused and hindsight-aided draft strategy, they still get exactly what they want (a tanky poking team) that we simply cannot beat because they got the only worthwhile support.
