 .And the old ones are just awesome for looking awesome... The new corvettes are REALLY nice cars, the old ones had their problems (also called corners) the new ones are a blast. I myself don't get the whole Ferrari thing... | ||

The yellowbirds are a beast that is true but how are ferraris overated...? new one have shitty tracktion control and paddle shift which indeed is gayer than richard simmon, but if you talk about manly cars, an F14 is way superior than the bird. If you mean the F40, it was beaten at Laguna by an Audi 90. It's sex on wheels, but it's overrated like Pamela Anderson is overrated - glam-shot looks, overcompensating, and just sort of... over the top. It lacks elegance, imo, but as they say - there's no accounting for taste. And if you mean an F-14 Tomcat... well, yeah, that's superior to a lot of shit 0_0 However track drivers will never be at the height of a rally driver: Apples and oranges, imo. Rally drivers have balls of steel, though, I'll give you that. I think the RUF, especially on the Nordscheife, is at least as challenging as rally, but that certainly doesn't go for all track cars and certainly not for all tracks! They call the Nürburgring "Green Hell" for a reason, lol. It's not exactly "ideal" - full of rumbles and bumps and, I think, one of the later sections has a few bends with the surface graded the wrong way - the way that wants to throw you out of the corner (d'oh!). | ||

The fact that you could get 2-4 corvettes for a Ferrari/Lambo or whatever (and about 1.5+ Porsche's depending on model)? I mean when it comes to driving the new Corvette is just as good (if not better) than a Ferrari or Lamborghini, save the *hyper*-cars which are about 5+ times as expensive. Yes, in the inside you got plastics and all together lower quality materials... But who cares? You get a very nice Stereo, your seating position is comfortable and your air conditioning is also there. The question is: Why if not for the name would you spend tons of money for a Ferrari/Lambo when you can get a corvette for ~half the price, that drives just as fast (if not faster) and looks better (opinion)? If you would like to buy a *rational* supercar you probably would have to go with a Porsche... But no one does this on *rational* terms :p. | ||
