[image blocked] + Show Spoiler [Same as above, w/o flash but w/ caption] + [image blocked] (Since flash makes every picture look like it was taken in a hospital ward, I used it sparingly.) This is just a view of the desk half of my room from the hallway (you can see my door to the left, in the first photo). My posters are a mix of modern art and music. I just bought the Ellsworth Kelly poster (really colorful one) over winter break at Ontario's new museum of art. I love it. Also, I am a huge Seinfeld fan. + Show Spoiler [Other half of the room] + [image blocked] This is the other half of my room. That's my tie collection hanging in the back. To the left of this shot is my closet. The raised structure is... + Show Spoiler [Bed] + [image blocked] ...my bed. The best part about lofting my bed like this is that I never have to make it. HA! + Show Spoiler [View from couch] + [image blocked] This is what my desk looks like from the couch in the third photo - in other words, what I see whenever T1 has a Proleague match (minus the screensaver ^^). That lanyard hanging on the wall is my pass to last year's Macworld expo. + Show Spoiler [Booze!] + [image blocked] This is the top shelf of my bookcase: pretty much everything a responsible college student should have in his room. Don't worry, the Smirnoff is more for girls than it is for me. I like red wine so I have a few bottles: 2 Rosso di Montalcino and 2 Mettler Petite Syrah. Both are recommended! + Show Spoiler [Turntable] + [image blocked] Last year I bought a turntable... + Show Spoiler [Vinyl] + [image blocked] ...and started a small vinyl collection. I've only bought my very favorite albums, in an effort to avoid spending all of my earnings on this project. I'll digress for a moment here to comment on how cool it is to have a record player. Playing vinyls turns listening to music into a true "activity" - it's acceptable to invite people over to simply listen to music, if the music is being played on a turntable (iTunes doesn't have the same charm). Owning the records is also neat - the album art is usually great and they often come with posters or art that was not available for the electronic or CD versions. I think music on vinyl sounds much "richer", especially at high volumes. Vinyl is a particularly good format for electronic music, which tends to have its high end really blown out in digital formats. Just my opinion - I'm no audiophile. Here's a list of the records you can see in this picture (artist - album): The Cure - Disintegration The Anniversary - Designing a Nervous Breakdown Fleet Foxes - Fleet Foxes Coldplay - Parachutes Death Cab for Cutie - Plans The Postal Service - Give Up Third Eye Blind - Third Eye Blind Starfucker - Starfucker Toyko Police Club - Elephant Shell Stars - In Our Bedroom After the War [some old guitarists from my parents' collection] Arcade Fire - Funeral Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream Pendulum - Hold Your Colour Radiohead - In Rainbows Stars - Set Yourself on Fire Manchester Orchestra - I'm Like a Virgin Losing a Child Radiohead - Kid A Explosions in the Sky - All of a Sudden I Miss Everyone Pinback - Blue Screen Life Editors - An End Has a Start Taking Back Sunday - Where You Want to Be Radiohead - The Bends Silversun Pickups - Carnavas Smashing Pumpkins - Adore Radiohead - OK Computer [some more old albums from my parents] In the very right of this picture you can catch the jacket of my favorite RPG of all time. + Show Spoiler [Computer, etc.] + [image blocked] This is the desk part of my desk. My computer is a 15'' C2Duo MBP, and you can see it chilling in the background there. The foosball men are casualties from the deep run I made in my freshman year's intramural foosball tournament. + Show Spoiler [HDs] + [image blocked] OK, this probably doesn't deserve its own picture. These are mostly full of movies. + Show Spoiler [Monster under my desk] + [image blocked] Shockingly, this is probably the biggest mess in my room right now. + Show Spoiler [Audio switches] + [image blocked] These route audio signals between my computer, turntable, speakers, and headphones. The switchboxes were a Christmas gift from my little brother. Thanks bro! + Show Spoiler [Fridge] + [image blocked] Every story needs a happy ending so... + Show Spoiler [Fridge contents] + [image blocked] Cheers! Love this, also - The Postal Service <3

![]() It's not completely finished (I still have some pictures and posters to frame and hang, some stuff to add here and there, and books to put on the shelf) but for the most part the arrangement is done. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I just love when you enter your good old room, and it feels like you moved to a new world ! With fresh wood furniture scent and all that. :D
