(Some people see her rotating in different directions depending on the way their brain is wired) i don't get it lol sorry to disappoint you guys but this one is a fake. There are actually 2 picture series in that one. 1 clockwise and 1 counter clockwise. I figured it out coz i am using a very slow computer and it hangs/freezes a bit when it changes direction. that is not a fake, i can switch orientation at will. Love the thread, laughed my ass off on a bunch of these.
To KTF: since the black silouette (sp?) is 2-dimensional, once can perceive it as the legs being in front and behind the body when the figure moves.

WTF I CANT SLEEP TONIGHT NOW D=
same lol! It just happend, and now I can't get it back wooooooow.
EDIT: ohhhh I JUST CHANGED IT BACK AGAIN, lol this is cool
EDIT: haha I undestand it now so I can change it back and forth.

Lol so many good ones.
Edit: Lol guys the silhouette one is NOT a fake... if you right click properties on it in firefox, you'll see it's only 34 frames long... which means you'd see it turning around really fast if it changed direction. It's just a manipulation of the brain's ability to interpret 2d images as 3d objects, such as looking at an image of a 3d object on a 2d computer screen.

yeah i guess i was wrong, it froze a bit when it changed direction when i first viewed it and immediately made a conclusion. Now i watched it again and i got the trick.

ahh how can you make it rotate counter-clockwise??
I studied every inch of her body and all appears to be moving clockwise!
EDIT: Ohhh I figured it out! If you turn your head 90º in the opposite way the woman is moving you'll easily see it changing rotation!

about the turning dancer, i find it easiest to make her change directions by looking at the shadow on the ground, when the foot is in the position where you see only the ankle, just imagine the rest of the foot coming out on the other side, and it will.
Some funny gifs here
