If it helps at all, you have at least influenced me to switch from a right handed to a left handed play style for Starcraft 2. I am going to probably play it very competitively, depending on my life situation at the moment. Also, would you be interested in sharing ideas for Starcraft 2? You made the bottom left base have the minerals on the bottom, and the top left base have the minerals on the top. This is like lost temple, and is outdated and frustrating for someone used to cleaner layouts of minerals like those in python. Suggestion for fix: -Make Bottom left base and top right base have minerals on the left and right, respectively. Having the minerals on the top is a disadvantage, and having them on the bottom is an advantage. This also causes extreme frustration when new workers come out. Selecting a new working coming out at the bottom of a nexus when there are 20 probes mining there to the minerals below it is a bitch. Also, always having to bring your probes up along a longer-than-normal path to minerals above the nexus is a disadvantage even into the midgame. -Make the minerals in general closer to the start location. Okay obviously this one isn't as important as the top/bottom/left/right problem, but it's annoying when your build order is slightly off and you have to cut probes (even if it's slightly) to do your normal tried-and-true build because the minerals in the map are spread out so that more of them are far away than in standardized maps like python. 2: There are critters everywhere. This is really annoying. Not only do they get in your way when selecting shit, but they are easily mistakable for enemy units. Ground critters aren't quite as bad because you don't think there's a mutalisk in your base in the corner of your eye. Plus, if you're the kind of person that uses shift>tab (like a lot of people do), they show up yellow on the minimap, which is a very bright color that always makes my eye jump to see what unit is near my units. This is very distracting. -Suggestion for fix. (obvious) remove critters. Alternate solution is to have more ground critters and no [fucking] kakarus. While ground critters will still show up yellow on the minimap, I'm so tired of all of a sudden thinking I'm seeing a mutalisk fly out of the fog of war into my base. Sorry for sounding so angry and suggesting that you change your map which I'm sure you worked very hard on, but the iccup people forgot (what a surprise) to update the motw's this week. Every single game I find is on othello or faoi, and I am getting sick of it. Thanks for your consideration | ||
