Of course, like always, leaving a comment with some feedback is greatly appreciated.
Hi Artosis! Nice to finally have set this up!
Yes, thanks, it took a while. =P
Tell me, what's Korea like?
Korea is like heaven. Playing SC all day is cool, the food is AMAZING, and everyone is very very nice.
I'm sure everyone already knows what you're doing there by now. You guys are doing a great job with the SPIRIT tournament. What are your thoughts on it? Did you expect the gap to be bigger, or were you surprised that the foreigners even took down some games?
I'm really really happy that more foreigners will be coming to Korea. It should have happened a long time ago, but better late than never. To be honest, its quite obvious that S class progamers like we have used so much will destroy top foreigners. The B teamers though are a different story. I think when we start doing more matches between the very best foreigners and the B teamers we will see many foreigner victories.
The big question on everyone's minds: "Oh no Artosis works for SCForAll, now he won't commentate TSL2!" Could you give us some insight on whether we'll be seeing the Artosis-Chill dream team again soon?
I would be absolutely thrilled to commentate TSL2, and am planning on doing so, unless something totally unforseen happens. TSL is just the perfect event in my eyes.
I think quite a few people will be glad to hear that. Now, you yourself are a pretty good player too. Have you been playing a lot while in Korea? Maybe you should participate in Courage just for fun.
For about a month after getting here, I did not play SC. More recently I have been practicing some for the up and coming WCG USA, and I am absolutely planning on playing in Courage for fun.
I'm already very excited for WCG USA. It's gonna be a very nice event this year, with Yosh, Idra and Nony in topshape. Not to forget all the other players, who certainly also have a shot at taking the title. What's your prediction? Any thoughts?
I think that IdrA and NonY have the highest levels this year. Although NonY is probably a more robust player, IdrA's style always has countered him very well. That being said, both will put a ton of pressure on themselves for the event, and neither has preformed exceptionally under pressure.
I think that myself and Yosh both are quite good under pressure and have lots of experience, so we could both be dangerous. G5 is just a dangerous player. Even with all this danger, IdrA should be the favorite to win it. An interesting thing to note is that everyone is giving iNcontroL 0 chance just like last year, so who knows. Final prediction:
1st IdrA
That's some nice insight. We saw NonY in TSL kind of lose his confidence after being behind in a series and underperform. Now, you're an experienced WCG USA player. How big of a role does the fact that it's offline and oh so important usually play in this tournament?
It's by far the most important event for every top American player. The pressure players put on themselves can destroy them. The roll of pressure cannot be understated. I do not envy IdrA this year. Being on CJ Entus, getting his trip paid for, having that progamer licence... it's just so much pressure. He must be thinking about what people will say if after all of that he goes back to the CJ house without winning a USA tournament. (Korea really underestimates the skill of top foreigners). When you combine the pressure these really dedicated players will feel with the fact that you are out of your comfort zone, playing in a huge room (and maybe on stage some games) in the ONLY LAN ALL YEAR, any upsets could occur.
Very true. Now let's go on to the more casual questions. Everybody who watched some SPIRIT vods knows you're a vegeterian. If you HAD TO eat a piece of meat, what would it be?
Hahahaha, I've been considering adding fish to my diet for some years for health reasons, so I guess I'd go with salmon. As it is, I have accidently injested small bits of meat and/or meat based broth/chips since I have gotten to Korea. I do my best but sometimes mistakes do occur.
If InControl died and his will reveals his final wish is for you to eat a piece of his own body, would you do it?
If I could put some ssamjjang on it and wrap it in a lettuce leaf, yes.
Wow, respect. Back when you were in [Media], most of the top foreigners considered you the most bad mannered clan in the scene. Any explanation?
[Media] is a team of bitter American Terrans. If we weren't the most bad mannered team in the scene then we weren't doing ourselves justice. To be honest, playing Terran at the sub-pro level is VERY frustrating in a scene full of protosses. Manner-wise, I'm sure the case can be made that we were the most bad mannered, but in our defense, we never took W.O's and we never had hackers in our lineup as did many of the other teams.
Sounds reasonable. Are you a fan of any player or team? And did you get the chance to meet him/her (in case it's TossGirl) while in Korea?
I guess I've always liked Boxer the most, followed by XellOs, NaDa, and iloveoov. I had already met XellOs and iloveoov at WCG events, and I met NaDa in Busan at the Starleague Allstars match. Still haven't met Boxer yet but I'm sure I will once he gets out of the army.
Who would you rather have sex with: Daniel Lee or PuertoRican?
ROFLROFL uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh is there a third option?
Hmm, let me think of a third one... Third one is Much[gm]. And you're on the receiving part if it's him.
You are a cruel cruel man. I'll go with Much as he doesn't read TL.net daily.
Last question before we start rounding this up: who's your favourite TL poster?
NergalSC.
HAHAHA JOKING JOKING. I like fakesteve / iNcontroL / plexa (blogs/articles) as posters.
You were selected to do this interview by our previous interviewee. Now you in your turn can select the next interviewee. Who will it be?
It must be Kennigit. Anyone who destroys drug addicts who try to rob him on a train has to be a fun interview.
Sorry but there's a no staff rule. R1CH was an exception. Try again.
I'd like to see an interview with z7-Rain.
He's banned. Try again.
How about DAy[9]?
That sounds cool. Thanks for the interview, and I wish you good luck in WCG USA. Any last shoutouts?
HI TO ALL MY FRIENDS AND ALSO INCONTROL!
