shortly after the WCG i went for (as an observer obv cus i suck) i went to a bar with the foreigners who were still in korea, or at least some of them, i believe at least smuft elky and spunky. anyway we were all still getting to know each other, and smuft was bragging that he was the toughest drinker of them all and could one shot an entire pitcher of beer. smuft was 17 (so was i). anyway we weren't cool enough to be gambling then so we just egged him on and smuft attempted and succeeded (!!) at one shotting the entire pitcher of beer, on top of whatever beer and soju we'd had to drink at this point (some, i'm sure, but modest nonetheless). as time goes on smuft gets more and more silent in the conversation, then has someone ask where the bathroom is and is told it's outside and to the left. anyway an hour goes by and we realize smuft is still gone. we get the check and go outside to find the bathroom and we find the door to the bathroom has been broken down and smuft is nowhere to be found. we go back to elky and smuft's apartment, no one is there. being the caring friend i am, i went back to the love motel at which i was sleeping and hit the sack. i was informed that several hours later smuft wandered into his house and passed out on the floor in the kitchen

So the deal is, I'm a fourteen year old person somewhere in a shitty country (equals to not being Korea), dreaming about becoming a professional SC player and (obviously) practicing hard to maybe, even someday fulfilling his dream. What would you think of a person like this, should he stop wasting time dreaming and go back to homework and aim for a more traditional job? If you work hard you can do anything. It all depends on how much you believe in yourself and how determined you are. Nobody here knows you (I'm guessing), so the only one who can evaluate whether you can achieve this dream of yours is yourself. Although I must say, it will take time and hard work (many progamers are known to practice 8+ hours a day.)

It also depends on whether you can play BW for 8 hours a day for months/years. Especially when you see people playing poker instead and getting rich, while you're busting your ass playing BW and going broke. ![]() Seriously, though, finish high school first.

Now, the whole scandal was around three particular things: Its was blatantly clear that Ilnp was not playing on his account and the Admins didnt do anything. Ret won the game was made to rematch and ended up losing. Elky and Smuft scammed everyone. Now, Testie, a former broodwar player, accused the organizers but was quickly shushed down. Rekrul, OP, is revealing that the Progamer Oversky was playing for Ilnp.
