go for it. you won't regret it. it's the best razer mouse to switch to when you have been using a logitech before that.

Razer is nice choice . But I still wondering about differences between DB 3G and DB normal except difference in DPI , does standard infarred and 3G infarred have big difference ?

Yes but not for BW

the 3G sensor is capable of much faster accelerations in movements. Thus for people that play FPS games, if you use a low in-game sensitivity, you need to whip your mouse extremely fast across the mouse pad to turn around, or even to turn 90 degrees. Thus it's better to have a 3G sensor for FPS so you can turn faster and still have the mouse register it accurately.

But in BW all your movements are in a small area and are twitchy. You should be fine with the 2G sensor (3G stands for 3rd generation... so all mice on razer's site not labelled with 3G are 2nd generation sensors).

I've never owned a diamondback, but from trying out my friend's, I much prefer my copperhead just for the feel.

Also my lachesis is totally awesome too, tho better for FPS than for BW. I'd definitely recommend a copperhead.

I'm using a Razer Krait and I love it.

It is quite a small mouse, which is perfect for me since I tend to move the mouse using my fingers rather than with a movement of my entire hand. The lack of side buttons is also no concern to me, allthough FPS players may resent this.

The only problem I have had is that the rubber ring that surround the mouse wheel came detached from the mouswheel itself. I was able to fix this with little effort by dismantling the mouse and using a small ammount of glue to stick them back together. No problem, but a little disapointing none the less.

I can use it on my varnished wooden desk without a mouse pad with no problem, allthough I do use one anyway most of the time.

I would definitely recomend it.

Proud Diamondback owner. Though I'm not exactly sure I'm holding it correctly. I'm left-handed, but I've been brought up to use my right hand for the mouse my entire life.

I have a Razer Krait. Its great for FPS games like Quake 3 but im yet to switch to using it for RTS games. Tho I feel I should as in the long run I should be able to play faster. Its a nice speedy mouse.

I use a DeathAdder and it's the best mouse I've ever used....

I've briefly used a couple of Razer mice, but the feel of the DeathAdder is perfect. (Maybe my hands are bigger than the OP's, or I just prefer bigger, heavier mice [because I do])

^_^ I'd recommend the DeathAdder to anyone anytime. It was worth every penny of the difference between it and a standard "non-gaming" mouse

Razer Lachesis

I find it perfect for FPS and any RTS game.

Razer is nice, but I was always a Logitech mouse fan.

I won a krait and a diamondback from a lan last year and had previously tried out first generation diamondbacks.

I completely dislike the pre-made cushion on the buttons on the diamondback. NOT the material, the material is really nice but they made an indent for your finger on the diamondbacks and the sides actually itch my finger. The arch on the mouse is rather low and far back [ I guess characteristic of razer ] but moreso than other razer mice.

The krait is a real winner. I would definitely have used this over my MX300 back in the day for starcraft. I recommend it only for RTS games. I used it on sc/dota and I was able to click small things in between units [ if you play dota you know what I mean ] that I was unable to with my current mx518. I use the 518 now but only because I mainly play cs:s and dota. I've also become used to using the back and forward buttons. But for pure gaming ability krait was a monster at starcraft and dota. It was decent at cs:s but I would prefer the 518.

I've heard the copperhead is a krait with the extra buttons, I've never used one though.

Also in mouse comparison tests mx518 usually comes out the winner when you tweak your usb port hz, also after accel and mousefixes.

Edit: Also the teflon feet of Razer mice is way better than Logitech mouse feet or even those you can buy. I think it's stupid to ever buy mouse feet unless they die out but the Razer ones were fucking slick.

Ugh, I went all over town looking for a diamondback and if a place sold it (best buy, circuit city, Fry's) they didn't have any in stock. I guess I gotta order it online. Maybe I'll order the Krait though if you genuinely prefer it Ack, since I come from a logitech mini optical.

I have a Lachesis and i must say is the absolute best for playing ANY high res game. In order to get the same speed with new large and high res monitors you cant beat this mouse. 4000 DPI ftw :D

Hey Gryff!
Do you not live in Sweden anymore? I say that because you say you visited very American stores lol.

Anyway, if you are used to a mini optical, I would highly suggest the krait. It's not a big hit on your wallet, and it's small light and really quick. I will warn you though there is no dpi control so it's always set at 1600dpi. For starcraft if you're not used to a FAST sensitivity [ You will have to lower it in-game ] it might be bad for you because even on the second knob I'd still consider it pretty fast.

If you don't mind about the money, the diamondback is a good mouse too I just didn't like it because of the physical aspects. Just hold both mice if you can before you buy!

In fact I have the same question. Can someone please tell me what are the diffrencies between Diamondback and Copperhead. They are on the same price here, and yesterday I was staring 1 hour at the shop and couldnt decide which one to buy?

I have both and feel the copperhead offers better control. It has a higher...thing in the middle, where you hold the mouse. I like it more
