Donald Trump has personally endorsed at least three Republicans that called for executing gay people (Roy Moore, Mark Burns, Tim Walberg*). So has Pete Hegseth's pastor Douglas Wilson. Charlie Kirk, whom Republicans have repeatedly told me was a modern Christian saint, said executing gay people was "God's perfect law". *In all fairness, Walberg has not endorsed executing gay people in America; he traveled to Uganda and said they should "stand firm" in keeping their 2023 law that gives life imprisonment or the death penalty to people in consensual gay relationships. I wonder where all these folks are coming from and where they're getting their support from if the United States isn't homophobic. | ||
