I can deal with a world where powerful lobbying groups are doing damage for short term financial interests, I can make sense of it. I can't deal with a world where the damage is an unintended consequence of some stupid Facebook KPI. | ||

You won't have to, because all this is an intentional distraction by the ruling elite from those economic, ecological and geopolitical problems. They just haven't seen mine! (Plenty of idiots think  ) From my experience men don't care one bit and the ones that do care, only enter bathrooms when no one else is in there anyway. | ||

If I'm walking in the forest and need to pee, I wait for it to be quiet and find a tree. If someone comes around the corner, I'm a bit embarrassed, but gender of the people walking past doesn't increase or decrease my embarrassment. In urinals, people walking past me don't make me uncomfortable. People peeing in the urinal next to me is midly discomforting. Of course, everybody is different, but I'd say about 99% of discomfort is cultural, and something you can get over with it just happening a bunch of times without the world ending. | ||

People who make an issue of this are the people who look for problems so they don't have to be confronted on things like why they don't want kids to have good nutrition in schools or for community and technical schools to be free. They're both disgustingly cheap programs that have actual positive impacts. But no we have to talk about how some people feel uncomfortable going to the bathroom in public. | ||
