The deadline for this contest is going to be per game, but if you miss the first one you will lose out on a lot of potential points for the 3 in 1 contest, and at the same time the players for the Hearthstone contest won’t be known until the 31st when the preliminary group stages are done:

Additionally we will have a tiebreaker for Hearthstone in case people end up on the same score. Which is to predict the Health (hit points, armor not counted) of the winning hero in the last game of the grand finals. You can find this as a value to enter in the bracket prediction template.
Wow, once I started making this I relized how impossible to predict this finals is, I could easily see some upsets totally messing up everyone's predictions. Anyway here is mine

Yes. And the people doing three brackets more than the people doing two. The points will be added together.
Team Liquid guys: YOU ARE SO AWESOME!!! This is such a fun, thanks to making my own predictions and reading the predictions of other people, there is so much hype for the first round!!!! :-)))))))
Thank yoooou!!!!
All the predictions look so nice and funny and reasonable ... I primarily like all the predictions seeing FanTaSy and ByuL go far ... and in some cases it really seems realistic :-) Also the predictions showing Classic will make it to the final and win are very reasonable. I just do not like those saying PartinG will beat sOs :-P!
sOs gets $100,000, ByuL gets another second place, Rogue loses in Ro8, his opponent loses in Ro4, the foreigner does not go to Blizzcon and one of the "foreign" Koreans surprises. I wonder if I missed anything.
Zest vs INnovation should be really close and if INno wins my whole bracket is fucked up. Also, if Life beats Zest I think Classic has a good shot at beating him and facing sOs in the finals, which imo is a complete tossup. There's also an outside chance that Hydra beats Dream, but I doubt he'll hold his own against Maru...

If you're going to do that I would recommend: Foreign Korean surprises make the Ro4 at least, so you'd need Hydra to do it not Polt. ^^

Are they really that good? I have them win the tourney, but have them lose once to Na'Vi in the winner match of group stage. Their results at Liquipedia don't show much international play for comparison, and they even placed 5th at some tourney with YL etc.
It was fun imaging these play out in my head. I doubt it will all happen this way, Blizzcon is way too unpredictable (and I didn't exactly go with the most 'reasonable' suggestions, other than Zest beating Life). Fun times though!

DK won the Korean qualifier tournament over MVP Black

This is really a good one :-) Quite close to mine ...
I really hope, that i'm wrong with the final... Big sOs fanboy (and he can do it), but my brain tells me, that Inno got this. This guy is unstopable! wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/User:Djentleman/2015_WCS_Global_Finals
Good prediction! I have the same up to the semifinal - in the semifinals, I have the other victories - ByuL over Innovation and sOs over Rogue :-) But I like every prediction sending Rogue and ByuL far, far into the bracket :-)
Done ! I've gone for a mix of exepcted results (Rain > Polt) and crazy upsets (FanTa taking out herO, and Lilbow being way too French for Life to handle).

LotV?
You can play LotV now ... boring :-) When is the next BIG tournament? I mean a real one ... When does Proleague start? DreamHack without Koreans? Just with a few invites? I do not think, there will be anything reasonable, as all the profi players will first develop strategies, practice, practice and practice ...
When is the first real big tournament? Sometimes January? While now, it is a great time, as we have the TOP moment of the season in front of us :-)
This is really a heartbreaking thing to do competitively - how I want the bracket to be and how I think it will be are sometimes quite different scenarios.

It is important not to mix them too much ... heart is better than head! So if you fuck SKT, of course, you can't let an SKT player win :-)

Merchandise on the line, man. Enough said.
On the bright side, I'll be happy no matter what happens, only for different reasons
On October 28 2015 08:51 Popkiller wrote: If I recall from the last contest... we don't need to post our brackets here, right? We just need to save them?
I've never watched a competitive match of Heroes, only heard about it. Wolf told me to bet all my esports money on DKKR, so that's what I did.
Wasn't able to follow the SC2 scene for a while either... so if anyone wants to point out how much of a fool I am, I gladly will invite you to do so, so that I can prepare myself for the slaughter next weekend.
Life winning it is a pretty bold prediction considering he hasn't been very visible in quite some time. But you did not preict Lilbow or Fantasy to win a match, so you are not completely out of touch with reality.

The last time a visible player won blizzcon was in 2011.
This year the competition feels really stacked though. I think it's mainly because of the WCS higher point concentration in Korea when compared to previous years. It's a pretty different tournament this yeat.

I'm not sure I really expect that to be the way WCS plays out, but that would be awesome if it did. And I have no idea what I was doing with Heroes so who knows xD

Here's mine, this year I went less hardcore to be right and gave more space to my inner fanboy =D
I will say this, Classic is often underestimated I believe he will take ByuL down, he has the potential. I also predict Lilbow taking one game at least off of Life. PartinG upsetting sOs and Hydra taking down a Dream that tries to mech.
http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/User:Randoomguy/2015_WCS_Global_Finals Mine. the names are correct but Innovation doesn't have the same big character and missed byuls big L Mine is based only on brains but the upper bracket is so incredible hard to predict. As for the lower bracket i might be a bit Maru biased but i think he can make it

You need to capitalize INnoVation and ByuL exactly how their names are throughout the bracket.
I followed both Byul's Curse and Rogue's Law. Don't know whether they work together.
If they do, then that means Byul will dominate the top half, and the people who stops the player that defeats Rogue in Ro8 will win the whole thing. In a word, if Rogue could defeat Maru in Ro16, the champion will be among Rain, Polt, PartinG and sOs.
Honestly, Hearthstone is pretty much random. Everything is possible. I'd say Thijs is the favorite because he has very good decks against aggressive decks, and as far as I can tell all the control oriented players already got knocked out in the group stage.
However, even a Dragon Priest deck can have awful starting hands and lose the game vs any aggro decks. I would have bet on Thijs but Kno impressed me and I'll cheer for him, so might as well have him win the tournament.
Here are some statistics for the Round of 16 predictions. The numbers are the number of votes. The correct results are in bold. The most predicted results are underlined.
Rogue and Classic's 3-0 wins were the least expected scores by far.
The doc works fine for me (both while I'm logged to Google services and in Anonymous mode), so whatever the problem is, it has to come from your setup Jer99.
Question: Do we have to predict the correct loser for each match as well? For example, suppose someone predicted herO > Fantasy and ByuL > Classic and then herO > Byul. If herO beats Classic in the Ro8, does he still get the 4 points?
Also, is map score included regardless of player. So if finals prediction was, for example INnoVation vs Rogue 4-2. And the actual results are herO vs Hydra 4-2. Does the predictor get map score points?

You get points for guessing the correct winner in a given match, whoever the loser is and whatever the score. You also get points for guessing the correct score in a given match, but only if you also guess the correct winner AND loser.

So if I predicted Dream to beat Rogue and Hydra beats Rogue instead, I don't get any points?
Of course i got more points for Heroes, where i didn´t see any games before, then i got for sc 2. But i guess that gives me good chances for heartstone :D And tied for rank 9 overall is still pretty good

There's still a t-shirt to win...
Hm yeah i guess, the thing is that i have no idea about the hearthstone scene, but yeah i guess i could make a random one^^
I am surprised over how well my strategy worked. Lower team/player in each match-up wins with biggest possible margin in each match-up. Expected to place last with that.

Well, hearthstone was a lot less than the other two. It's still impressive given that he won by more than 10.
And I realized that somehow I did so badly in heroes that I got 7 points...
should've trusted $0$, was wrong on thinking Life would become back-to-back champs, had the lead since opening week and lost it at the last match oh well, bronze and shared silver is pretty good especially considering i know nothing of the heroes scene
On November 08 2015 19:29 Dingodile wrote: I only follow sc2. Why does top3 HS a lot less pts than other two? different pts rewarding or unpredictable outcome?
Heartstone started with the ro 8, Sc 2 and Heros with Ro 16.
2 nd place overall is really great
But i will not look into my HS bracket so that i don´t know if the points i missed with my typo would get me first place ^^ A big thank you to everyone making this possbile. Made watching the tournaments much more intense
Tenth for all three combined, even though for HotS and HS I literally just picked the team/player that was higher up in the bracket to win every time since I don't know or care about either of those games. Not bad.

Not sure how you beat me.
Edit: I seem to have underestimated my score in WCS.
Oh sweet I won the HS bracket contest :D ...the best thing that ever happened to me on TL It seems conquest really is all about lineups, I just picked strictly the favoured lineup in every match and it won 6 times out of 7.
Soooo 44 points from an almost random filled HotS one, and only 15, for a thought out SCII one. Damn those final matches were great, so much nerd chills.

I'm in the same boat, I absolutely crushed heroes and heathstone which I've never watched, and then for sc2 which I play and watch daily, I tank
