I agree. HL2 holds up today very well.

Though I wouldn't say it's because modern gaming is bad or anything.

I dunno, Bioshock/Infinite are easily in the same vein, and are definitely comparable for the single player experience.
Granted, I guess a lot of the fun with HL/HL2 are the stupid shit you can do because of very liberal physics engines.

Unpopular opinion: I didn't like Infinite. >_>

Nah, lots of people didn't like infinite. I liked the story, setting, characters, much better than the actual FPS gameplay tbh

Bioshock Infinite was widely praised as a really good movie.

infinite was infinitely predictable if you've read any philosophy or physics

I'm surprised so few people actually bring their own keyboard/mouse for the runs, but I guess it makes setting things up easier.

Most people I know of did. In fact the equipment thread it says specifically that runners are responsible for their own input devices

It's one of the things you hear about when it goes wrong but forget about all the cases where nothing was said. Selective memory and all that.

Not saying it wasn't good, but most people's enjoyment out of it was because it was their first many-worlds interpretation rodeo.

Does anyone know how much Portal 2 co-op practice znernicus and azorae have gotten together? I know a few months ago they had trouble finding time together, and znernicus at least hasn't streamed any co-op for like 4-5 months and they haven't recorded any runs on the leaderboards.
I hope they have gotten some practice in as it is impressive to see 2 Portal runners who have some synergy and shared experience.

I haven't watched a Half Life 2 run since the Half Life 2 Done Quick team; this is quite impressive!
