Just make sure you have fun in HS. Once you're out things change a lot, and you'll be wishing you were back in it. HS is all about having fun, because this is the end of your careless days. Once you're done it's time to start moving into the real world, either through college, or getting a job and moving out on your own, whatever you decide. At the same time, don't get too caught up in the HS bullshit that so many people become so attached to. There's no point in it, and the faster you realize that the more fun you're going to have.

I never once studied for a single test in HS, and I got A's and B's in almost every class (except the ones I did none of the required work in, but I still passed them). Yes, but in most cases you will need those study habits for college/university, unless colleges are very different in America.

It depends on what college you go to. If you're in a larger one, then yeah, you'll probably need it. If you go to a community college, or junior college, it's like HS all over again. Personally, I can study just fine when I actually need to, but when I already know the material, I find it nearly impossible to look at what I already know for several hours. I guess I was just able to get away with procrastinating and not having to try so I didn't. When I stopped doing anything for a while my grades slipped a bit, but when I took a study hall instead of a seventh class my grades went right up to the top of all my classes again. People who once thought I was an idiot were asking me for answers and shit... then I left the school for homeschooling, which was probably the biggest mistake I made. So, another thing to not do is leave the school for homeschooling. I did it for incredibly stupid reasons that I will not share with anyone, and looking back on it I now wish I had stayed in the highschool I was in. I'd probably be in Loyola University in Chicago right now instead of working if I had stayed in (I'm going to college next semester for sure, finally), and now I'm gonna have to go through the shit of community college, and then something bigger (UIC, Loyola, whatever).

don't be afraid to join clubs, go after all the fly bitches (lol?), defend your opinions, make new friends, talk to teachers. know that everyone has gone through shitty times in high school but things just seem to work out in the end and you'll be just fine. apply early to colleges, don't let your grades slide just because you are lazy, but always have fun and fit in games of starcraft and soccer and whatever whenever you can. working yourself to death is not worth it at all. get more comfortable with your parents and get some advice for life in the future, because if everything goes as you are probably planning, these are going to be the last four years you're living with them. keep in mind that a few really good friends is much better than a social butterfly who is acquaintance to everyone, and (in a similar fashion) everybody's friend is nobody's best friend. my little sister is in the same boat as you are (metaphorically. if you really do try to get in her boat i'm going to kill you.) so i especially wish you the best. good luck, have fun, don't die, kick ass =P
