Like that Fallout 2 run was glitchless, but obviously not how the developers intended it to be beaten. Even a fairly "standard" speedrunning game like Mega Man X or Super Mario 64 is so optimized by now that it barely resembles the game it's supposed to be. The way I see it, glitches are just an extension of optimizing the game for time, and most glitches are harder to pull off than playing the game itself. | ||

The next several games have relatively few glitches, mostly about execution of precise timings and creative solutions to problems. In many games (though I can't speak to the Keen games, specifically) the glitched runs can be more difficult and substantially less forgiving than their non-glitched counterparts. | ||
