I can understand if English isn't your first language, but to everyone else.. for god's sake, learn basic English!! My immediate family is pretty good about it, but most of my cousins and aunts on my Dad's side simply do not get it!! Jesus!! >_>

I mean usually foreigners have the courtesy of apologizing to others for their imperfect English, sometimes even when it is unwarranted... and if not, well they have some semblance of an excuse.

Yeah, the people who grow up using english as their first language have no excuse for simple mistakes like that. As far as my gears, I can't stand it when people ask emotionally or politically charged questions in a setting where it could cause issues, like with coworkers or new acquaintances. I don't discuss politics or religion at work. Why would anyone think that asking me whether I support abortion or something is okay in the cube farm?

When you learn a language as your second..* language then you study the sentance/grammatical structure pretty rigidly as that's the main things you need to be able to use to have people understand what you're saying. On your native language however you just assume that people know what you're talking about and give little of a damn. You become very lazy/complacent as you take very little effort to actually use it. As for what grinds my gears it's other people. I could list things but I'd be here all day. One of the biggest offenders is people in supermarkets who stand in front of what I want to buy (either on their phones or chatting to someone), so I have to stand there like a tool looking at something else that I don't even want to let them finish whatever they're chatting about or move away. I could say excuse me, but usually people in a conversation pay little attention.

People that don't like other people's complaining. ^.^ Anyways, atheists/agnostics that are really aggressive towards Christians. I've had some fantastic conversations with atheist friends of mine, but for God's sake, we aren't all blind zealous religious freaks. And please stop lumping me in with middle age Christian values and ideals, and at least learn what the church actually believes, instead of that radical southern church that still believes in racism or something. I'm a pretty damn normal guy, but some people are bound to decide before meeting me that I'm an idiotic religious zealot (although I do play protoss? O.o) On the other hand, I really hate Christians who act superior because they're Christian. We've done just as many horrible things as everybody else (and really not more, despite what the "other" half of the world seems to say. And I don't mean other in a derogatory way), and we're no better for it. And religious fragmentation. I'm catholic. I really don't need some old hardcore southern baptist grandma to tell me I need to be saved. That's obnoxious. And like I said, there are wonderful christians (and atheists, and every other religion) out there. But the hardcore members of each are so annoying. Oh, and I hate it when a girl texts you and complains about me never talking to her (note: not dating) and then when I try and be friendly and have a conversation I get one word answers like "K. Haha. Ya." etc. Also really, really annoying. And college grades. I wish everything was just a seminar. I'm working way, way too hard to get A's. I need to practice for CSL next season ![]() I think that's it for now. You could probably throw in a week without hots, but oh well ![]()

recently i read a story there about some Harmony guy that produced a couple of good films but messed up 10 years earlier while he was 18 at the Letterman show by going through Meryl Streep's purse, he had a drug problem at the time. It's been ten years since then and the guy was really turned around and made some other great movies. Then i read the comments and i see "He belongs in the White House", then "Looking in someone's purse is UNFORGIVABLE!" People are ridiculous.

I HATE girls who drag out the SSS in any word but make it sound like a T kind of but make it HISSSS really loud, as if that were cute?!?! I'm sure you all have heard it, I have a co worker that does it and tries to sound like a valley girl and she is like 45 and it literally makes me want to jump out a window.
