There's no fucking way he'll be judged guilty to 2nd degree murder unless something gigantic happens. And if he gets released bad things will happen. I think at this point, if Zimmerman is found guilty bad things will happen. Probably a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situation. Media coverage really blew this to massive proportions.

It's not like the media has caused riots before over exaggerated information or anything...

I don't think there's going to be much rioting. The police in America are basically a paramilitary force now they won't have much trouble preventing embryonic riots from growing. Also I don't think many people will try to riot anyway, for all communities in America downtrodden apathy is pervasive.

We don't need to see life-threatening injuries ?
No.
We don't need to see any injuries at all, do we ?
No.

O'Mara - Can you just tell the jury that everything inconsistent Zimmerman said is explained away based on your experience, and that in fact he was a potential victim and was traumatized?
Lead Investigator - Of course. Let me tell you the story of how Zimmerman was a poor dude who was brutally attacked, any inconsistencies in his testimony were trivial and expected because of his brutal injuries and I felt he was honest and truthful with me. Is that sufficient, or do you want me to bend over the prosecutor's case a little farther?
O'Mara - No. I think you have pretty much fucked him over.
Judge - Counsel, do you want to attempt to revive your case...I mean re-direct?

/case closed There's enough here for there not to even be a case. This only went to trial because of the media.

This guy will be the lead witness for Zimmerman in any civil case that he pursues once this is over.

if you live in a black area and you don't have good security on your home, I suggest you upgrade. I'm not trying to make a cutesy joke statement. There are some very serious indications that riots will break out, and it's looking like Zimmerman will be acquitted.

"you tried to trick him into thinking there was a video tape, and zimmerman said "thank god." what did that indicate to you? that he was telling the truth or a pathological liar, but nothing indicated he was actually a liar."
jesus christ this guy is killing the prosecutor.

Okay, O'Mara. It's time to drop the mic.
Just end there.

What is the history with this investigator ? Does he hold animosity toward the prosecution ?

My God. Personal injury attorneys say all of the time that it is never a good idea to try a case when the plaintiff's doctors aren't on the plaintiff's side. It looks like the equivalent of that rule for the State in criminal trials is to never try a case when the lead investigator isn't on your side. He just buttfucked the prosecution's case.

Nancy Grace will be sure to tell America how well the prosecution is going and Zimmerman is certain to be convicted unless there is a travesty of justice for that poor, innocent black boy.

Tragic for the Martins but I'm kinda starting to feel bad for Zimmerman. He has a history of being sympathetic towards blacks but is having his life ruined because of perceived racism on his part.

This post is so much win. I almost fell out of my chair laughing.

I am really beginning to think that Jeantel was so reluctant because she knows the story is bullshit and really didn't want to get involved. And that includes the "Get off, get off" comment. Unless it was GZ saying "get off, get off" and she actually did hear the entire fight. She jumped all over the idea that Trayvon would have left her on the phone during the encounter, with the "that's retarded" comment. There isn't any proof as to exactly when the call ended is there ? It would also go a long way to explaining why she never followed up wondering what happened, if she had heard on the phone what happened. She may have heard the whole thing, and didn't want to admit it, and certainly didn't want to have to testify about it. Certainly helps to understand her reluctance. Anybody else think this ?

Damn, I missed the lead investigator. Was it really that bad?
