Bought my first pair of raw denims from Blue Owl in Seattle, highly recommend going if you're in the area. My thighs are huge so they didn't have any slim tapered that fit me, seattled (hah) for a pair of naked & famous / kakishibus? They said they're getting stock later that would fit even better, but this looks good, I'm just used to more tapered leg openings (this isn't even boot cut) since I think tapered fits make me look slimmer. Now I have to go buy my first pair of boots... was looking at the Iron Rangers but the black ones didn't look so hot versus the ambers, and most of my pants are black denim so browns aren't going to be as versatile... suggestions? :/

the acura will probably have less problems and last longer than those other ones though, ive an old TL and the handlings good enough but ive never driven a more sporty car.

the 2004-2008 TL is a great car and was also the end (imo) of the great Honda run (RSX type S, Honda S2000, NSX (ended earlier), death of K20 motor). Then the financial crisis hit and then honda decided to go full mainstream making generic boxes. Acura cars nowadays are numb as hell and the one great thing they had going for them was their fantastic manual transmission which they don't offer on any models anymore. I'm happy with the rest of the car though (goodies/roominess)

Anyways, this is definitely a first world problem lol and off topic.

I second CorsairHero's suggestion of chelsea boots. Best footwear ever imo. Especially if most of your pants are tapered black jeans.

if you can fit into weird guys, your thighs are fine, don't wear chelsea boots with those just go traditional work boot, natural indigo will fade to a much lighter color over time so don't get black boots.

barely fit into a lot of weird guys, they found a custom thigh size for me haha, they're (the ones i bought) about 90-95% of what i want in jeans, just missing the taper, wanted to fit in some others but couldn't cause thighs didn't work well with tapers. wasn't planning on buying the boots for the weird guys fit, moreso future proofing in case this is the only pair i buy for a while... :p asking for suggestions for what would fit the stuff i usually wear since i'll probably be looking for denim/jeans closer to my usual fits eventually, wasn't so much asking to match the ones i bought (but that'd be great too)

sorry rambling

drkshdw bomber, might return and get a mainline one or wait for something else, fit/feel are expected, but kinda also expected more for the price. Also need some legit dropcrotch pants and not these $50 vtb ones.

I've always been drawn to the concept of a "minimalist" wardrobe

The way I interpret that is... a relatively small, but thoughtfully curated wardrobe where each piece works with a wide variety of other pieces, fulfilling the wearer's practical and societal needs while maintaining a distinct and consistent approach to dressing

But then again I have like 6 pairs of sneakers

What do you think is the minimum number of pieces you could keep and still be happy with your wardrobe every single day? Assuming every piece is exactly what you wanted of course.

I recently donated and sold a ton of stuff and am left with about 25 pieces including footwear. Realistically I think I could cut out maybe 5 pieces and be happy with 20, but I'm not going to get rid of stuff I like just to experiment with edgy minimalism. I'm finally happy with my fits every day but since I plan on sticking with my ~25 pieces it's going to be interesting to see if that contentedness can fully replace the awesome 'new clothes!' feeling for me.

Rounding out my selection of tops, these shirts arrived in the mail today (Helmut Lang, Dries van Noten):
