I'm 23, the Nomos is my first and only watch outside some random digital watches I wore in middle school, and I don't really foresee myself getting another watch in the next 5-10 years. Unless smartwatch technology improves so much that it wouldn't make sense from a practical perspective not to get one. Not that excited about any current smartwatches. As mentioned, second gen products are usually leaps and bounds ahead of first gen, and even then I'm not sure if I'd really get any use out of one in their current state.

I bought my Nomos ~5 years ago. I only own 3 other watches, not counting vintage/keepsakes.

I'm hesitant spending that much on an item that might not be versatile enough

For brown shoes, match the belt color at least and it pretty much pairs with everything else. Shades of brown vary a lot so use your own judgement there. If you want a basic watch that doesn't break the bank, go for something like a timex weekender which goes for like 25 bucks. For clothes, start off getting some basic button downs from GAP and ditch the printed tees. Don't go in a rush to redo your entire wardrobe. Having disposable income is fun though xD

I got it from NMWA and the guy at the warehouse told me I probably would've been fine on a 3 with any other Stephan Schneider product, but this one just has particularly tight sleeves/armholes/shoulders or something. I wish I was as moemoe as liftlift ;;

It should also be noted that the Bambino has a 21mm band size when standards is 22, 20 ect so it could be hard to find a custom if want to change. But it seems to be really good value (I dont own one myself so cant really say anything about quality) and a watch is a real long term investment.

Clothes that fit you don't have to be more expensive than anything you can buy in a high street store. Especially watches. You can get a good looking watch for cheap as chips nowadays and as long as you wear it confidently and feel good about yourself, what's the difference you are looking for? Though whether that watch still works in 20 years time is another matter. Utimately a watch is jewellry and if you have your heart set on an expensive one piece of jewelry, confidently wearing a lack of a watch is better than nervously wearing an expensive one.
