they didnt really show hardcore fades for me till i washed, and even now they're not that faded

that's pretty normal though

using a machine i think. technically i soaked for an hour or so in a hot water tub with woolite for my APCs. ive washed my acnes a few times but they're not raw.

i dont think it really matters. it'll fade no matter which one you use. i prefer soaking just because its gentler, but its not a huge deal either way.

i waited 10 months for my APCs. acnes get a wash ever 3-4 months because they're not raw.

for raw apcs with that much use i'd wait until the creases settle a little bit before washing. when they stay in no matter what you do, consider a wash/soak (also when they smell).

if you're just some student that walks to class in them and sits there, or some salaryman that just sits there, why would you expect well defined fades?
most of the people that get crazy fades belong to two camps: 1. artificially fading 2. do some repetitive, intensive activity in their denim eg: biking, hiking, etc. and all of their fades come after a wash or two over the course of maybe 12 months of wear.

the point of not washing them is to make sure the dye doesn't get so diluted that the contrast in creasing is well defined. tbh you can probably wash them every month after the first year of fading.
