I guess it's technically two songs but they're beautiful.

Makes me think of "How To Save A Life" by The Fray + Show Spoiler + Explanation: Another song that I think everyone should hear at least once. Particularly on the internet, we have a way of being insensitive, callous, and downright hateful and we often forget that our words and actions carry responsibility in how we affect others. I think it's important for music to connect us with reality and in the case of "Youth Of The Nation" and "How To Save A Life", it serves as a reminder to us about the plight of others that so often go unnoticed until tragedy strikes.

That being said, I was under the impression most of TL was a lot more heavy into euro metal, prog rock, and electro/glitch kind of music. Never knew most of the population is into classic rock it seems.

This song is just so calming and aspiring. I pretty much need to listen to music like this during sc2 ladder lol. But if you just want some nice chill music this definitively hits that mark.

Also made the one rule a bit more clear since I have enough songs to list already without people c/p playlists.

I am not much of an anime fan, but one of the things I'm glad I found from watching it when I was much younger was this soundtrack, and, frankly, anything Yoko Kanno creates that Steve Conte sings. Also nthing everything Queen, for the same reason as Freddie Mercury singing anything is absolutely fantastic. Special mention to: Which is easily my favorite song ever and has been for many years.

This song is what got me to go to a different high school than all my good friends and devote most of my time to practice/study of classical guitar (in addition to all the other curricular shit). This to me is the premier sound of the romantic era of classical guitar.

![]() I'm hardly the biggest Radiohead fan in the world, but I can't deny how important and amazing this song is. This is one of those rare songs that gets more relevant as time goes on, as opposed to less. In vague, almost incomprehensible terms it describes our relationship with technology and the corporate machine, supposedly coming from the point of view of a robot, yet somehow seems all the more human for it. Going from detached creepiness to rage to sorrow, this song covers the gamut but only benefits from the schizophrenia. The melody in the Rain Down section never fails to send chills all over my body. Bonus YouTube mix version in spoilers. That this song means so many different things to so many people only proves how essential it is. + Show Spoiler [I am paranoid, but I am not an android] + I lack the words to express how this song makes me feel. Simultaneously hopeless and fearful, optimistic and courageous, half-dead and more than alive. I've never heard anything like it.

Yann Tiersen - Sur le Fil Why? Listen to the violin, the passion it's played with, the technical difficulty of the way he plays it, and pay attention to the different feelings it brings out in you.
