So, you will branch out and create a new time line where time/events do not exist exactly they way they did in your original time line. However, events will be close to the original time line you where born in. (Depending on how much you screw around with people and events in the new time line.) Just my half baked, unproven theory. Also, nobody has traveled back in time to prove a paradox would be created.

I'd like to add, that if you and your Bitcoin went back in time, you and said Bitcoin would disappear from the time line NEVER to be seen again, in that time line. (Like my wife's expensive ear-rings). You would never be able to rejoin the original time line, ever.

If an adult man still lives with their parents shouldn't the man be considered as a boy?

Also, for parents, a person will always be a kid. Their kid. I think (you see) moving out is some kind of ritual, become independent to gain adulthood. Other rituals are having sex or killing a person (killing is an old one though). >.>
Or: What if mother/father are old and moves to their children, so they can take care of them. The man wouldnt turn back into a boy.

Also, nobody has traveled back in time to prove a paradox would be created. Well, then you do not travel back in time. You travel to another dimension, which happend in another time, compared to yours. And were all possibilites and events were the same as it was in your past.
Also you can not invest bitcoins or do any other things in the past, which would change timeline. If you travel back, you can and will only do things that have happend. As it already has happend. From your point of view, coming from the future, wich is your present. But again: This is were the paradoxon starts. And branching means you cannot go back to your timepoint, where you started. Or your time travel would have had no effect.
Technically spoken. Which totally ruins Terminator and Back to the Future.

I love how many people absolutely know what is and isn't possible through time travel, considering we have absolutely zero data about that.
|
Sure, its all theory and nothing known like math. But hey, thats how science works. Past is written in stone. Thats what we know. Ofcourse, if apples would start to float, gravity theory has to be rewritten. Its just, the rules about gravity we have right now, are fitting to other laws of the nature and what we know about the world of physics. But if someone find out something new, these theories will change. Happend before in some areas and will happen in the future. Remember the hype about the Higgs-Boson and how its existence changed the world. Yep, science theory is not 1+1=2. It can change.
|
Actually, it is the opposite way around with the Higgs Boson. The fact that they found it means that our current models still work. If it would have conclusively NOT been there, then stuff would need changing.
Not that that is relevant to your argument. You are absolutely correct that science is not always constant, because that is the whole point of the scientific method. New knowledge can change things.
And so far, we haven't found a way to influence the past. That as a result means that the past is constant to us. But this doesn't mean that if you managed to find a way into the past somehow, you couldn't change it, because at that point you broke the basic premise which lead to the unchangeable past in the first place. So basically, you can't just say "we can't change the past, thus if you were in the past you couldn't change it". It might be one way, or the other. Maybe it's not even possible to get into the past. But you can't just have absolute understanding of time travel just from watching a lot of fictional shows and reading a lot of fictional books about time travel.

I know all about time travel, ask me questions. I solve ALL mysteries.

@Simberto: Yes. I was just going by what seems to be the most logical think to me.

Depending on how the timeline works, you killing him would not have any effect because that was supposed to happen in the first place.

The Battle of Fujikawa in Japanese history is similar, although far less stupid.

Mac or PC?
Mac Secure system? PC Same Price Higher Specs?
Why go for pc or mac?

If you have to ask, it probably doesn't make a difference for you. Macs at this point are just designer brand computers.

It's deeper.
"Yes" means "past" in Korean.
