I know its not a picture, but this video shows Bulgaria, a country not expected to get far in the world cup, scoring a goal in the 90th minute, securing a game in the semi-finals.

Well I am not bulgarian or french even but I remember this as well and it wasnt the world cup. If my memory serves me correct its the world cup qualifier for 1994 in the US and that goal sent Bulgaria to the World Cup where as France didnt qualify.

Bulgaria then later made it to the semifinals in the World Cup.

Yep, the significance of this match was that it was being played in France. All France needed was a tie in order to qualify, while Bulgaria needed to win. The French went up 1-0, but Bulgaria tied it up soon after. The French thought they were going to the world cup, until Kostadinov (scorer of the first goal as well) put a bullet into the top corner deep into stoppage time and thus securing a spot in the WC for Bulgaria. The team later went on to record wins against Argentina, Mexico and Germany (the defending champions) before succumbing to Italy in the semi-finals in controversial fashion: the Bulgarians were down 2-1 and a blatant handball in the box was overlooked by the referee. What nationality was the ref? French

Its not a 'complex riddle'. Its universal key.

The drawing containing two circles in the lower right-hand corner is a drawing of the hydrogen atom in its two lowest states, with a connecting line and digit 1 to indicate that the time interval associated with the transition from one state to the other is to be used as the fundamental time scale, both for
the time given on the cover and in the decoded pictures.

The Hydrogen atom was chosen for a rather specifc reason

I think you misunderstood, it is very much a riddle. Imagine being the one to locate the platter without having the wiki pages explain to you what all the little lines mean. It's easy to say that it would be simple to solve but from the perspective of another entity in the universe with no basis or idea what any of the drawings mean it would be very arbitrary.

I have no plans of derailing this amazin thread so i will stop going OT after my reply, if you still disagree feel free to send me a pm

H1 is the most common atom in the universe. Its allso the most simple, one might expect that if you have the technology to detect a tiny object in space that you have the knowledge of the most common atom.

Let me put it this way the plaque is made to be as simple as possible. And you call it the most complex riddle we have ever made. Its not a riddle, its the most simple code that nasa could come up with that is based on something very common all over the universe.

"From this distant vantage point, the Earth might not seem of particular interest. But for us, it's different. Consider again that dot. That's here, that's home, that's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there – on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. A truck hits an IED (improvised explosive device)

A lorry's engine overheats while towing the truck

An armored truck breaks down towing the truck and the lorry.

Finally, and after 18 hours of waiting, an Armored personnel carrier drags all three of them, to safety at the nearest FOB(forward operation base). Just to meet 300 american soldiers laughing at our poorly executed job.
