This book further perpetuates the idea that what pedophiles are doing is fine, just not generally accepted by the community which is why the part "avoid getting caught" further stipulates this concept. I'm not saying the book is fine, but this is no different than those who love animals. Same difference except this is with children (again, I'm not saying children are equal or the same as animals, but the views between the two are quite similar). | ||

I was really enjoying your post until the bold part.. it may not be your intention but it seems that you are validating the concept of this book; it condones an environment that allows for the exploitation of minors.. Whether they believe what they are doing is wrong or right; they are in a society which deems it wrong (for some really good reasons) .. | ||

Having thought something and performing an action are two entirely different ideas. Because I have thought about slowly torturing, dismembering, and cannibalizing my mother should have no hold on the fact that she is my favorite person in the world, and I'd never do anything to harm her. Your thoughts simply going somewhere else, i.e. reading any book, do not account for your actions or beliefs. | ||
