THEN THEY CAME for me and by that time no one was left to speak up. You are acting like they banned games. They did not. From what I understand, you cannot play a game for more than 6 hours straight. If you have got a problem with that time limit, especially if you are a young kid like what Korea is targeting, you need this. My post was not meant to be taken entirely so seriously.

while I'm totally against it personally, in principle it's pretty consistent with how governments try to regulate the behavior of minors in general (forced X amount of schooling, no cigs till age X, no alcohol till age X, etc)

The problem does exist and it is huge.
This is not the solution. Allowing parents to "opt in" to a system that would cut videogames for kids who are addicted would be a positive step (though still not without its own set of issues); forcing a system on everyone and handing all power to the state is not.

well Starcraft is rated T so.... uh i got nothing 6 hours is reasonable though. instead of "throttling" they should just have warnings saying "would you like to take a break?" every hour or so.

SC1 might not be affected by this, but SC2 will be =] Of course, if you got an older person to create the account for you, that'd solve everything...?

lol like in MapleStory?
What's that going to do?

i guess this is to control video game addiction in some kids; i hear stories about people dying from overplaying games on the computer, and i guess its to prevent stuff like that from happening. ._. (and also to encourage stork to focus less on WoW and mroe on Sc, hehe ;D)
but still, 6 hours is pretty lenient, i sure as hell cant play any video game for 6 hours straight. <.<

Must suck for Sudden Attack and Aion players... and if the acct is slaved to your Korean SSN then yeah... no gettnig around that

It was a play on this poem, you nitwit.

breaks for food and restroom don't count imo, i think most people agree
for a game like WoW only 6 hours a day would suck lol

I don't see how pointing out that the poem is based off a Holocaust poem demonstrates that the guy who says "you are overreacting" is wrong. If anything it would seem to prove his point.

Wow, gotta love over reactive governments. I remember many late nights and long hours playing starcraft and other games during middle and high school. I think it's ridiculous to put a blanket standard on video game playing. Isn't that what parents are for? They don't know a little better how much is too much?

I wasn't exactly expecting this...
