sometimes when you are not paying attention, you mistype. Don't be jealous that I beat you and pick on stupid things like this.

O_o metal net of some sort, to keep the drilled whole stable. if you've ever seen ice melting underwater, or a snow bank after it's been there over a long winter. that's what that metal net is. it's just water slowly melting the ice hole to look like a net. nothing is in there except water and ice.. and that fish thing, and the cable o.o

this is much less disappointing than the other recent "found 'life' on another planet" thread. That's pretty awesome.
|
I combined this thread and that other thread in my head, so when I saw the shrimp, I was like, HOLY CRAP WE FOUND ALIENS.
-sigh-

this is actually very amazing.

Wow, such an interesting find. When we find stuff like this is makes me wonder how could there possibly be no life in outer space... We keep finding life here on earth in the craziest places, like under Ice sheets and in underwater volcanoes... Theres life in space SOMEWHERE I'm sure of it

Attack of the shrimp people!

So all those readings of the CO2 levels on the ice really are readings of the breathing levels of shrimps...

this reminds me of a book i read...
was anyone shot with ice bullets?

I wonder if the reason they're actually able to survive is the warmer meltwater increasing the global temperature of the glacier. Something to ponder!
|
well the water is warmer than the ice.. and stuff is known to live in super cold water. idk if i find it that odd , but it is pretty cool.
|
Well they survived an ice age who's to say they wouldn't survive under ice?
|
Does this remind anyone of the Dan Brown book Deception Point? It's strikingly similar.

Little guy must be pretty cold =[

And that's not grammer, it's spelling =D. Interesting find, though conditions under Europa's ice sheets probably are not the same as under our ice sheets. The possiblity is still pretty cool though.
Interesting thing that is actually thunk who needs to check his grammar

It's not THAT surprising, I mean the thick ice emulates thousands of feet of ocean, and some of the life they find in the deep is just mind boggling.
