I'm rather curious about this as well. Financial stability should always come first.

Financial stability should always come first. Why should it? I don't understand a lot of modern generational thinking. Before you can commit to a relationship, you *must* have money. Before you have kids your career *must* be secure, you *must* get that promotion, yada yada. So much push for this vaunted success and stability that people end up marrying and having kids in their late 20's and early 30's. Really leaves no time to have a big family and get to the married life [most] people aspire for. So what if he doesn't have a career atm? Its a risk, but so are a lot of things in life.
And AFAIK nony is still going to university, so if he does have a job its unlikely its a well paying one. Anyway, GL to nony and his new wife.

It's an dangerous financial risk. Also, having large families should be discouraged; the world is overpopulated as is.

Also, having large families should be discouraged; the world is overpopulated as is. Yeah I know its a dangerous financial risk, but so what? Happiness+ commitment to the person you love I think is, so long as you are mature and level headed, worth risking despite not having a lot of money and being young.
And I'm not gonna bother to scour the internet to find the actual statistics and their explanations, but the world is not overpopulated. The West is overly rich relative to other areas, thus we are very prosperous while some starve. With the right technological advances+proper farming techniques from what I recall, we can hold another 2-3 billion people. Beyond the fact that is only really an issue for the west, which has an underpopulated aging population that will cause a massive demographic crisis [thus raping our economy].
The world itself may have a vague fear of hunger and over population in the next century, the west has the exact opposite. Big families should be encouraged here.

It's ignorance like this that makes me cringe. But let's not spoil a thread about a supernerd getting hitched with a discussion about overpopulation/marriage as an institution. Make a new thread if you want to have a discussion about that imo.
Congratulations to mister NonY, maybe you can teach your wife a bit of starcraft!~:D

Because you have to think about your family not just yourself. It's selfish to have a kid and not be able to provide him things to succeed in life when you could wait 3 years and have those things.

I remember the thread where Nony's now wife posted on Teamliquid giving full support for Nony in Korea. She really seemed like a special gal. Congratulations and good luck!
