Used excessively, you get the T-Pain effect, but used minimally, you can make an average singer sound much better based solely on the basis that they are in tune. Auto-tune should be banned, but there really isn't any way to enforce it, since someone who actually knows auto-tune knows how to hide the fact that it's used. | ||

Not really sure what to do about that though, if they use autotune excessively enough that it's noticeable, they probably won't get many votes due to many of the users here not liking it. Although, if as you said, they due it subtly and well enough that it makes the person sound like a naturally talented singer, then it is an unfair advantage...but there's no real way to catch them if they do it that well.  I'm hoping people will stick to the spirit of this contest and just have fun with it, rather than taking it too seriously and trying to cheat. | ||
