He used to world class, was the back-up for Buffon in the national team (he was a part of the '06 squad!), and he has shown glimpses of his brilliance during this season with Genoa. I think I'd be happy with the signing if I were you (unless you already have someone really good), he has a lot of potential. The great problem with Benfica's team is the goal keeper. We have 3 goal keepers that are very similar skillwise, but none of them is really good. They are just a little above average. But Benfica will probably have a lot of money to waste this summer, cuz i don't see how we can hold on to Di Maria, David Luiz and Ramires. So i guess we'll have money to buy a good Gk. So i hope ![]() Thnx ![]()

Still been a better season than I could have possibly imagined, only been supporting then since 2002 so I missed the worst part of their history but was fully expecting them to get relegated so many times that this has been a dream come through. Bit disappointed that their execution wasn't up to scratch on the night and wasn't impressed by Athletico or their fans, would rather have lost to a more manner team but I guess they have their own issues that explain that (passive aggressiveness ftw ![]() But after that 120 minutes of nerve induced nausea I look forward to the WC as a neutral, (that's 2 extra times gone against me (T_T) ) EDIT: Come on Portsmouth!

Chelsea v Pompey HT 0-0 How Chelsea hasn't scored yet is amazing! We hit the woodwork 5 times and Pompey had a really nice chance saved from Cech.

I don't understand ?_? If Drogba was English he'd be the pfa or w/e player of the year, more assists, more goals and he has scored against the big 4.

Ballack might not be as good as in former seasons anymore, but he is very important for the german team, being the captain and one of the very few experienced players on the team. This is an especially delicate issue because Boateng actually plays for Ghana, which faces germany in the group stage of the upcoming world cup. Funny thing is he played for the german national youth teams, and his brother Jerome will probably play for germany.

I mean he is one of the best goalkeepers that pretty sucks at saving pks. I expected him alot in some extremely important matches (CL final for instance) but he really disappointed me Getting the double is so common these days...

It's been well documented that Cech hasn't maybe the same keeper he was since his head injury from Hunt ![]() But for me Cech was the Motm for Chelsea this game keeping the clean sheet for us, if we would of went a goal down I really think Pompey might of been able to clinch the cup. Cech has been pretty great this season, winning the golden glove and helping with some great assists this season! ( Cech's amazing long throw in the Burnley game ). Saving penalties is a difficult thing to do ![]()
