at this rate like 3.5k from april Are you like only playing easy maps and restarting every 10 seconds? Back when i got to like >1k plays per month without playing anywhere close to as much as i do now, i got like 300 plays in an hour from restarting a map trying to get SS At 1 play per minute, that's like 2 hours a day solid for the entire month. I could never play quiite that much, even when i sit in osu for a quarter of the day a lot of time is spent doing stuff other than spamming maps (like rewatching vids etc) | ||

And then hate myself when my fingers remind how terrible that idea was the next day! But no probably like 1/5 of my plays might be restarts.. I've been forcing myself to play maps that I find hard for the most part.. Which is prob why my rank has ground to a halt and my acc is going to the dumps! I barely ever see a combo over 300 unless I just get hit by a truck of blind luck. I have got lucky a few times and picked up a S rank here and there though :D I prob should start watching a lot more of my replays and try to start picking apart my play. I still feel like a bunch of the fundamentals escape me. | ||

My strongest improvement has honestly been playing thoughtfully for an hour or so in peak physical condition, rewatching some of the stronger plays (easy to record w/ nvenc and no perceptible performance hit) several times (with different playback speeds even) and then just going back at it the next day you have basically the same playcount as i've used without relax mod, maybe a little less | ||

Maby I'm giving to much stock to the wrong issues. Like higher bpms + jumps always tend to kill me. So I've just been trying to play maps that are a bit out-side my comfort zone to improve speed/ aim.. | ||

In general, it helps to practice from the bottom up, building a solid skill base instead of being mediocre at both fast and slow | ||

Which isn't really fast at all. So my choice or wording was bad. Average bpm, patterns, jumps etc that you find in most insane maps. Maby I'm trying to include to much in the "solid skill base" but I was guessing that these make up it? 100% agree with aim being in the settings.. Which is another issues I've been working with. I've pretty much entirely changed my play-style since I started again.. So I feel like I pretty much started all over. Which is fine, it needed to happen. My old play-style was garbage and I couldn't pass most hards, let alone Insanes. But I am at a loss at how much more I can do other than to practice with them. So I'll take your advice and start watching some replays :D | ||
