Potions are a good tool to keep your char alive. What works better? Imo the biggest flaw was the item madness resulting in massive frustration when you find but can't pick up your best item ever because someone else grabbed it before you and in the worst case there's a grabhacker in your party. I think they have to find a solution to that problem or D3 will be just another grabfest which really kills the fun.

Like we kill Baal a Zod rune drops for me and you get Ber rune. You can only see the crap that drops for you and therefore you can't pick up the shit that drops for me. If I'm feeling cocky i can taunt you with that Zod I found and show it to you in a trade window and laught. Basically you can't do jack shit about it.

1) boss drops items - only you can see it and pick it up. 2) you pick up items and put them into your inventory, then drop them - your party members can see it (but there might be a small time delay before they can pick it up after you? - like 5 s) Keep in mid here I'm only speculating how it works.

Also, I really like the money and health system (e.g. it's automatically shared between the party)... It really encourages group play Thumbs up, Blizz!

I know how they did it in Guild Wars is that each piece of loot is randomly assigned to a character, though everyone else can see what it is. Then after 30ish seconds of sitting on the floor, the limitation is removed and anyone can grab it. Also, if you pick something up then drop it, anyone can take it.

When I played D2 everyone could grab the stuff on the ground, there was no separation for each player. You must be talking about a different game because afaik there was no patch that changed that.

Can you confirm this, because that would be awesome. Maybe I might not get the best drop from a kill, but at least now I am guaranteed to get something. It was so frustrating sometimes not getting the shit. And btw, I would take the Ber over the Zod anyday really, unless I needed a botd.

http://www.diablofans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10129 number10 on that list: 10) Loot Per Player System (L.P.P System) Keep in mind that this COULD still change before the release but I find it very unlikely. And: They said so during the Q&A of the Design Panel on the first day of the WWI. Someone asked a question about what they were doing to address the rush for loot that happens in many games when a boss dies, and they responded that (in essence) everybody gets their own loot drop. Basically, it drops loot like HGL, at least at this stage.
