Ha! Hardly. I just got use to it and never let it get to me like some players do. I can understand the lag complaint when you're playing top-flight players but rarely you get to play those kind of players. Just don't put yourself in a situation where the lag matters and you'll be golden. I'll say it did break me out of my spamming habits though.
