(2): this thread is and probably never will be in line with teamliquid.net ideals of a friendly, contributive community. at least not as a whole - there will either always be some kind of spamming or useless discussions or it wouldnt be a hon/dota thread, but just a farce of one. if you are part of either hon or dota community you should know this. (3): i dont know - but i dont see many options. either tl lets the thread be what it wants to be, or they close it, or we get the farce i mentioned in (2). let me know what you think. | ||

With just a VG he's godawful to kill and Radiance just rapes waves, support heroes and blinkers. Manta rapes Dust and gets you out of most things possible. Then add on the fact that he has access to a variety of items late game and still rape, go Ethereal to disable their hard carry, Orchid to lock out a hero, Curiass-Deso for massive minus armor, Heart-Linkens to tank, Skadi-x, Diffusal-x, or just the standard Butterfly variant. Void can't do that without sacrificing a noticeable amount, Admiral HAS to have a BKB and then attack speed+damage, Naga needs so much and has an actual cool down on her images along with TB where his Meta keeps him out of some items. The only thing he can't do is an efficient Rosh even when mildly farmed. | ||

What I've gathered is that about 95% of TL's HoN community is completely capable of holding a constructive, on-topic conversation about the game and strategies and then we have 5% (maybe a little less now) shitposting retards who can't. That's actually a pretty good ratio now that I think about it. theres a difference between someone who is capable of doing something and someone who does something - and people involved in spamming or useless discussions are not exempt from the former group by doing the latter. i mentioned this briefly already, but the average hon/dota player i know is just much more prone to being dragged into spamming or useless discussions. that doesnt mean hes not capable of posting well, but given the right circumstances he wont. this thread accumulates this phenomenon, because obviously hon/dota players post here together. | ||

Recently our team's been trying to keep updated with the recent trend of dota (read: chinese dota). Although it's not necessarily good to copy the top teams, they sort of write the textbooks for teams below them so why not? Whenever we trilane, it's standard 1 strong solo mid hero (sf, lion, wr etc.) and 2 stuns with another carry on the trilane side and 1 hero sent to the shithole (ds, brood, enigma, havent figure many out yet). But playing with foreign teams, they seem to have a much deeper understanding of this stuff. I asked roy from aeon what you're supposed to look at to decide when trilaning is going to be in your favor and all he said is: you just stack the safe side (sent bot, scourge top). But when I see Chinese replays, trilanes always end up vs'ing each other so it can't be a cointoss. I used to think the trilane that has a bigger reward when it gets complete lane domination has the luxury of taking the safe side but it hasn't always turned out that way. We have a tendency to always stack trilanes with an aggresive carry but that too doesn't always seem to be the case. I've seen wd/rhasta/cm lanes while leaving alche to solo mid instead rhasta. | ||
