I don't understand why Ramos has to get rid of Chimbonda and Lee. I think they are both capable defender. They just look shit with Kaboul/Rocha/Gardener because they can't defend as a unit. It is like looking at Gallas the game before and he looks pretty average as well, just because he has senderos as his partner.

Indeed Anelka is way more mature now.
He even changed and improved dramatically his playstyle as well. Before he used to be "only" a deep forward looking for space (he is still that kind of player tho) but now he doesn't mind coming deeper in midfield to get more balls and participate to the play and he plays a lot more wider as well (goes to the wings ect...)

I really think that he now wants to settle down in a team. He was just looking for a big club to give him another chance to do it. Unless the coach dosn't give him a chance to start/play a minimum of matches, I think he will stay for a couple a years.

El Gordo made an awesome pass to Pato in Seedorf's goal. The goalie made a miracle too defending the first kick. Pato played very well in my opinion, only the first part of 2nd half wasnt good, he 'disappeared'.

They bring a new coach with a different football style (more ball, less defensive)
They put away of the team Cañizares, Albelda and Angulo.
They sign 2 kids, Bonera and a dmf from Netherlands.
Basically, they are doing a pre-season in the middle of the competition, that's whats going on.

Players still don't know how they are suposed to play, the team isn't built to play like that, and all the players sent out and the coach change is putting too much shit everywhere.

he might break van nistelrooys record.. as a winger.. it's mindboggling. fair enough he takes the penalties but he's just a complete offensive player. good enough passing and vision, great shots, amazing freekicks (best in the world this season i kid you not), good heading, extremely fast with the ball, extreme technique.. he was the best in the world the first half of the last season but then he dropped down some towards the end, he's had an even better first half this season... he's impressive as hell.

funny thing is ive never seen him spin the ball for a freekick, at least not how other people spin it, his freekicks are always hard dipping shots and sometimes with a little outside spoin

he improved on setpieces so much too, last season and the season before he used to mess up every freekick he takes, most of the time shooting them into walls

Last year his free kicks were always into the wall or over the crossbar. I think he improved his technique this season.

yeah him and ferguson have both said that his improved freekicks are due to immense amounts of training. and yeah he always does those hard dipping shots.. thats like the hardest shooting technique to master too. I really can't get over how sick his stats are tho

i mean you've had exceptional strikers with similar stats but then they would rarely do anything other than score goals. fine ronaldo isnt the classic kind of wing but he scores this many goals while creating a lot for his teammates and spending a lot of time around the midfield.. it's really nothing short of sick.
