As someone who's watched both Street Fighter and StarCraft, is it fair to say Nuckledu just became to Street Fighter 5 what Neeb(let) is to StarCraft 2? And Du just did that on the same day that Neeb beat Patience to advance to the WCS Top 8 at BlizzCon. | ||

came into GF with momentum to spare but man, 99% of the players there would have crumbled under xiaohai's pressure I think du had a run with at least a couple of other cammy players this tournament tho iirc, so that might also have helped | ||

I agree... but keep in mind... People forgot how SF4 played out. SF4 had a larger intiial release becuase of being in arcades prior, but things did NOT go well competitively for years. Think back even to the MvC3 days. People were NOT really happy with SF4 at the time. I remember pros sitting out SF waiting for MvC. "Whens Mahvel" was at it's peak in those days. I specifically also remember JWong and Combofiend talking about how SF4 is so boring to play. It wasn't until after AE hit, and after Yun/Yang were balanced properly, that SF4 really started to be accepted competitively. Which was like 4-5 YEARS after SF4 released. I've kind of been going through an existential crisis where I know every time I beat a platinum+ player I'm pretty sure it's for the same reason I sometimes lose to people way lower than me... aka just doing really stupid shit that makes no sense to better people. Hard to ever tell if I'm winning through improvement or stupidity at this point. On a side note... why the hell does Necalli's stand jab have a hitbox that extends like a 180 degree arc over his head? It just boggles my mind everytime I play him. | ||

But they mentioend something on FB or Twitter or something about him winning... Kinda lame that the actual site is so RTS centric that they can't even put up an article. I'm sure there's a decent number of mods with authority to add a quick news post.... Just seems noone cares on the site.
