They made his Cr MK uncancellable, made the range REALLY short on things like EX headbutt, changed some frame data for the worse, etc. Obviously I'm sure people may find stuff out, but when you look at him... lack of a good wakeup, no 3 frame move i believe, crappy reversal, no cross up, it just seems like he's not great in anything and woefully lacking in tons like the other DLC characters. Months later they are all unsurprisingly considered pretty trash tier.

Oh well, at least he looks and sounds fantastic.

Yeah I was really surprised that cr.mk wasn't cancellable. I didn't know that was changed from his story mode release, but even without that prior knowledge it still felt awkward.

No good reversal was the big thing for me, but kind of predicted that going in knowing his toolset. I don't think big damage makes up for bad jab and bad wake up in this game lol. At least when he does show up it'll probably be hype af though

Edit: Desk answered my question for me!

No armor on frame 1 is pretty harsh too. He already had mediocre options, why not make the v-skill charged reversals actually ok?

Looks like SFV is a daed gaem on TL huh?

After doing a long, roundabout circuit of characters, I've found my groove with Cammy and have really been having a lot of fun. 900 health is nail-biting, but she's so solid it's hard to care too much about that lol.

I have a surprisingly hard time against some embarrassing characters -- gief and Juri give me a lot of trouble even though matchup-wise I should definitely be good. I think I might spend some time playing as both those characters to get a better idea of their gameplans.

Anyone else still playing this?

I still play SFV, although mostly offline nowadays at weekly casuals.It's just a lot more fun for me to play offline.

I'm probably gonna play a little less after the end of the month though and start playing more Guilty Gear instead. With a pretty healthy local scene (3 out of 4 in the top 4 at the recent Arc Revo qualifier in SEAM play where I go) around, I wanted to actually try to get better at the fighting game I enjoy watching the most.

If I get too frustrated with GG though, I plan on messing around with Ibuki in SFV, even if she's bad, Ibuki has always been a character I liked so I want to learn her a bit.

And I just want to do some cool bomb combos.

I got pretty bored with the game for various reasons. My local scene went from like 25 people to 6 and I didn't exactly like any character I played with. Oh and ranked sucks.

I mostly dislike playing online also, so I end up playing a lot more offline with friends. As long as I force signal to 4-5 in ranked I find most of my matches are tolerable.

I suck but I still play. I just force 5 bars and I almost never have a laggy match. TL obviously isn't the best place to discuss sfv but there is a street fighter discord that is very active.

I try to play everyday but as CobaltBlu said, it's not so active here so I usually just talk about SFV in discord or twitch chat. I play exclusively online as I don't really have any friends in my area to play locally.

I barely ever play ranked, I did a brief grind to Gold and haven't touched it since. I mostly play private sets with people I find through twitch etc. Maybe if enough of us are lurking out here we can start playing sets together.

I'm simply bored with the game honestly. I don't even follow the majors like I did last year because it isn't even fun to watch. I've been a fan of Street Fighter since I was a kid and I can honestly say since beta this game has been a HUGE disappointment to me :/

Maybe things will get better with season 2 but I am not holding out hope. So, I've basically been playing XRD and BBCF at locals which are a blast to play right now. Lastly, Looking forward to console release of Tekken 7 sometime in the near future.
