It's pretty dead because TL attracts a more PC-centric crowd. TL started with BW and most of the games in the network are PC games. Capcom just royally fucked up the PC version of the game. The rootkit fiasco was the last straw for some people.

I feel like the game has decent fundamentals that are overshadowed by questionable business practices.

Yeah I uninstalled when that happened lol. Not that I thought it was genuinely malicious or shady per se, just utterly and frustratingly incompetent. I'll wait for a big content release or season 2 or whatever. In the mean time I'm having tons of fun just playing Revelator solo content when I'm in the mood to smack some buttons

I agree honestly. I really liked watching SF4 but SF5 just still looks unpolished and bland. I still think the V-gauge feels shoehorned in. I thought SF5 was announced too soon after SF4 and I still believe that today. The hitstop of moves slows down the pace a ton, many combos have obvious "finishers" that reset the state rather than allowing continued pressure. I bought it and have only played a handful of times because it's just not that interesting.

I think SFV has an amazing base. Great graphics, fluid motion, good feel. But right now gameplay wise it just feels super simple, filled with tons of guesses and a neutral that is also stale. It's a good fighting game and I like it, but something is missing.

In the future Capcom COULD make SFV really great I just really don't think they are competent enough to do it. I hope I'm wrong.

I still play every day, close to ultra gold now. It's a lot of fun. It being dead in this thread isn't really a indication on the health of the game, TL isn't really filled with fighting game players.

After the release fiasco making me forget about the game, I gave the game a chance at the start of september after they kind of changed the ragequit stuff, I was playing Ibuki since it was more interesting to me than the other chars I have liked in past versions of the SF games.
The game is "OK" at best gameplay wise, the other stuff surrounding the game is just way too bad, the rootkit fiasco made me uninstall again, atm I barely log in for the free 5 or 6k fm every week so I can unlock stuff in the future if I need to, but meh, I really don't feel like playing this game too much, which is pretty sad considering I played SF more than 24 years ago and like fighting games a lot. Revelator is a better game in so many ways.

canada cup has had some of the best matches yet, really looking hopeful with how the game is developing. hopefully with a strong season 2 adjustments the game really starts to get refined.

Yea, heres hoping.

Personally, I like SFV quite a bit (more than the end of SF4), but I can understand the players who don't really like the core gameplay, and players/casuals/others who still have a bad taste for the game for non-gameplay reasons.

The character diversity is nice. Almost had a Juri in top 8! They mentioned so many times how horrible Juri's V-reversal was and it made me realize in all my times playing her I've literally NEVER seen it used.

Sigh, I just want the game to have Sakura so I can have a good excuse to play it again...
