Even when traveling to small towns I couldn't keep it for more than 24 hours (granted this was when the game was just released but still)

Hah. I think mine was a max 3 days.
|
I haven't even got to 24h. I'm a casual Instinct player so I never really had a chance.
But yeah 3 months sounds like some tiny village that's completely populated by one team.
|
We're talking months and weeks and days and yet I still haven't been able to have a Pokemon stick in a gym for more than five minutes. XD
|
I think I got close to two weeks but I wasn't counting.
Another QOL buff they should implement for training: The suggested team should all be a CP lower than the first pokemon. Let me decide if I don't want the bonus instead of switching 4/6 pokemon to meet the criteria.

Or just get rid of the penalty for using shit over the CP.
|
I'm aiming low and hoping it would actually happen

I don't remember ever having one last more than a few hours and I'm team mystic.

Did they just put in a soft patch where you can't spin a pokestop if your bag is full?

I caught a 1337 CP Aerodactyl today! And I was just playing the game to have something to do on my way to the grocery store.

Anyone notice greatly improved spawns? I can't tell if it's just a local fix to the Drowzee epidemic, but the spawns in my area are way way better now. There's a lot more variety in the semi-common spawns (mostly jigglypuffs, magnemites, and nidorans) instead of everything being a Drowzee.

Seen more jigglypuff's and other semi-rares like you said than I remember. Possibly starter's too. There was a period I hadn't seen one in a week and I feel like I'm getting a few on the tracker a day at least.
Also used to never see exeggcutes and now I see one a day on average which is nice!

Actually, it was a gym on the main street in a US college town. I have no idea how it stayed up so long. I would drive by it all the time and be like "Sup Lapras. Keep holding it down".
I was the Gym owner for a while, but eventually someone added some monster 3k Dragonite.
The gym was almost always level 10, but the bottom pokes would switch pretty often so i think it would get knocked down to like 6 or 7 and then build back up. It had my 2400 Lapras, a 3k Dragonite, and another 2400 'Lax at the top though, so I imagine those three scared off most teams. That area of town isn't really dominated by any team, there is a park like 3 blocks from that gym, that has 2 gyms in it that switches owners all the time. I guess people just didn't notice this one? I dunno. I ran back up there the night I got my Lapras back and it was already level 8 blue again. So I put my Lapras back in his home. Hopefully I won't see him again this year.
