There is no reason teams that orgs like CLG or liquid pick up should be losing maps on lan to teams like the torqued pug or elevate. 2015 isn't looking very good for the NA scene.

Why can't they lose maps to eLevate? eLevate is a legit team with two amazing fraggers in Elige and roca and tons of experience on the other guys.

Torqued is one thing, eLevate is another.

nice pistol round for elevate. They should close this out quite handily. And Elevate are a legit team to boot

Being an amazing fragger means nothing without a good team. These guys are basically part-time players while CLG is probably getting a salary. Just saying, 2015 is not looking good for NA unless C9 can get their act together.

There's no way one of the best teams in the world in Fnatic should be losing maps to Kabum on one of their strongest maps , but it still happened. Shit happens.

Torqued pug is actually a well practiced team of good aimers + Skadoodle who is one of the best awpers/players in NA. Plus you haven't been around the scene for too long if you think pickup teams taking a map off teams on LAN means a major catastrophe. Some of the best players in the scene have broken onto the scene by performing well on pickup teams on LAN.

Elevate is a good team and CLG are massively overrated by people. They have little to no strats and are best on maps like dust2 where you can win by having good aim and decent game sense since it's a pub map.

But eLevate are a decent team. They make it to all the ESEA LANs. Sure they probably shouldn't take a bo3, and CLG didn't play up to speed, but taking a map is expected considering the talent and experience on that team. I think you highly underestimate them. It hasn't even been that long since CLG became real pros, and it'll probably take them just as long as iBP to really get going.

Some people seem to forget that iBP was on the brink of disbanding before they took their first ESEA LAN. Some things take time. CLG, at least, has potential (like CLG's teams always do apparently).

Liquid on the other hand... shouldn't be struggling so badly against a PuG.

Just saying that this amount of inconsistency for these newly signed NA teams is going to get them eliminated from just about any european lan by just about any european team in just about any round of the torunament. Sure, a lesser team can take a map off the best team, but you saw how fnatic bounced back and basically proved it to be a fluke. I just want the best groups of 5 NA players to get the best support and I am not sure that is the case other than C9 right now.

I wouldn't call KaBuM beating Fnatic a fluke. Everyone realizes that KaBuM is legit scary on Mirage. Only problem is, they can't seem to play any other map that well.

Inconsistency is definitely a bad thing. I don't think the current Liquid team can compete at the very highest levels, and CLG will be going through some growing pains, but I'm not surprised eLevate beat CLG.

I'm a roca fanboy though.

Before signing with CLG, that team WAS a team of "part-time" players. Same with Liquid. It's really too early in 2015 to determine the success of the signings and the peak of the teams' skill.

The way the scene is right now , even the best NA team of 5 players can get eliminated by just about any decent european team in the group stages , they're that far behind now.

Katowice will be the first real test and show how far NA CS has come after the IBP Debacle. I don't think even the best NA team can beat a tier 2 european team like dAT/Titan on LAN.

People are expecting too much too fast from all these new teams since there isn't a definitive number 1 (Cloud 9?) in North America right now and they're hoping their favourite orgs/players will fill that spot.

Prepare to be disappointed a lot people , it won't happen that fast (It never really does).
